I mortgaged my house to buy $300,000 of ETH at 800.   I dod not tell her.   This house was paid off in full.  Now I cant make the mortgage payments with my job.  I cant even sell the ETH easily because I live in NH.   Should i keep holding?   Tired of making excuses about wherr all the money is going.   I guess I'm what you call a loser.   Thanks everyone.

I think that you should confess everything to your wife.
If you continue to hide ugly things from her it can destroy your relationship and even your marriage.
It's much more important issue than money, believe me.
If you start to work together, youmay chance to overcome this difficult period in your life.

You don't need to sell, just trade with BTC (maybe some). I heard that ETH will do hardfork this year, please predict this. If later the price improves, then it's your luck. If it's getting worse, of course you can't survive the word "loser".

That is going to be a great challenge if that would be me. My advice is to keep hodling your eth. If you will sell it now then there is no going back. You are not going to get back your money. You should keep hodling it.

You are not losing anything as long as you are holding the ethereum, because the volume is still intact and it will only changed after selling them at the lower value

Ethereum is really not my coin anymore since the moment it became a materials for scamming by the ICO dev,its platform is rampantly uses by this criminals that help losing the ethereum popularity

Its very simple just say what is the truth and accept what ever happen because in the beginning its your fault,  right? so you must be ready to accept all the consequences of your action.

But don't be buttered just stay calm and focus to find the solution in your problem to tell your wife the truth, and do not sell your investment wait the stable of the coin market.

It is not a good decision for you to buy ETH by mortgaging your house to others. Investment is wise if you have extra saving money after maintaining your family. However , it is not wise to sell ETH now at low price. You can hold until you are in profits. You can tell your wife by many techniques with soft tongue.

You have a very sad story buddy and am sorry for your lost too. But I don't think you have totally lost once you still have your tokens in your wallet and it has not been sold yet. I would encourage you to keep holding for a little while and wait for the market to rise again until it is close to your investment amount before you start selling.

This is a very difficult thing to deal with. I have seen it more than once. Many people are investing in such ventures without telling their wives. Therefore, even if the losses have already occurred, you should bear the burden yourself. Remember, we are all men!

I'm gonna spare you the judgement on how smart your decision was, not because you don't deserve to hear it, but because I know you've heard it enough.
Good news is that ETH is seriously underpriced because of EOS and other ICO-s dumping, newer ICO-s are getting less money so its long term price is not under the same threat.
I think it will rise in value soon. 800 is too optimistic but selling now would be the absolute most tragic conclusion to the story I can imagine.

I would sell half of the ETH and buy other coins, just in case ETH does not do well in the next bull run, you already have taken a big risk, bailing out now could be a worse decision. but also be prepared as it could take 2 years or so until you can sell your ETH for a better price. if ever.

Good luck.

I will advise you start swing trading some of your holding, instead of daily watching it without any actions. Telling your wife won't be a bad idea, if she is an understanding person, if she won't pick offence. I have some silly mistakes in this space I shouldn't have made. Well I still keep on pushing. Whenever there is a will, there will be a way.

You are always advice to invest only what you can lose in cryptocurrency due to the fact that the cryptocurrency market is always volatile and can change at any time, don't get carried away by the price of the currency at a particular time cause it can change in the next minute. But my advice to you is to continue to hold cause you can only lose when you sale below the price.
