What happens when a coin is suspended? How long does it take for binance to release from suspension? Especially from conversion.

This will depend on the issue of the coin and of course depends on the terms of the exchange, if you think that coin can still be activated on that exchange then you can wait until the exchange lifted the suspension but no one can tell when aside from them. If your are holding a coin that will be suspended better to make a move early and withdraw that coin as soon as possible so you can still access your money.

On my end, if I am holding such coin and there is a suspension, I would go to the social media channel of this project because you will know the possible reasons why the exchange is suspending them. There will be discussions for sure, so you can get insights if it will be temporary or possibly there's no chance of resolving it. Aside from actually reaching out the support of the exchange itself.

When you get the possible angles on what's happening, you can easily act on it. If you think it will be a possible warning that the coin has deep problems, you can get out of your coins and find other exchanges that are still trading the coin. Get rid of it as soon as possible. At least, get something out of it before it declines its value in the market, because the possibility of recovering from the situation may not happen anymore.

If the coins you have are delisted, all you have to do is withdraw to an exchanger that still accepts your coins. and there is also a time limit. if it has passed the time limit, it cannot be withdrawn anymore. if it has been delisted, of course, you will no longer be able to sell your coins on Binance.

I dont have these coins that have been suspended by Binance but typically, that it is not a good sign and you cannot do anything with that because you cannot even withdraw it even you have to.

Binance will make announcement in their social media platform also in their exchange before suspend or delisted any coin than stop deposit option but they allow to withdraw your coins in other exchange. Many reason in the behind to delist a coin firstly technical issue and inactivity of dev.

A coin suspension depend so so many reasons that might include technical problems from the project team.
Also an exchange might decided to suspend a coin because of security breach especially when the project has some security breach that needed to be attended to to avoid further loses. Other reason too might come in when the project team was known to be dubious especially when the coin is intended to crash out.

I think that it depends on how difficult the issues that the coin is currently facing, that's the only way that I can think why they take long. Haven't encountered this problem though, what coins you've got that has this problem? This kind of thing I think doesn't happen that often given that a lot of developers through the years are continuously improving their crypto before any official release and the next cryptocurrency developed would probably be more improved.

I don't believe that they're going to do that with the coins that they're going to delist, I didn't experience that with my Monero when it got delisted in Binance, coin suspension mostly prevents someone from getting that crypto used for transactions and at the same time make it much easier for their developers to solve the issue without more people being affected by the very issue that they're fixing and the cause of their suspension.

Well it's going to be obvious if a coin is suspended,

a. no withdrawal
b. no deposit
c. no buying
d. no selling

There could be a lot of reasons why a coin is going to be suspended by let's say Binance. But I speculate that it could be of security reasons, maybe there was a hack that is going on or at least that coin has been compromise. So it might take days or months because Binance will resume everything on that coin.

Most of coins suspended because has security reason with their project and binance will stop immediately for withdrawing, deposit and trading until the coins project announce they are return back from security cases. I saw many time Binance usually suspended with withdrawing or deposit and coins have drastically difference price between one exchange with another exchange but back to normal price after releases suspending.
For releasing form suspended I don't think need longer time regarding has many kinds of coins suspended in Binance taking without one day back to normal for trading, deposit and withdrawal. Its difficult position when holding some coins get problem with suspended for trading and get losses opportunity to earn profitable trough trading.

What I know about that matter is that the exchangers give an announcement on their platform itself for traders who have a hold of coins that will be delisted on their platform. Now, if there are traders who cannot change the coin that will be removed from the list of the exchange, it is because they do not often open an account on the exchange, so they have not been updated on the platform.

So, meaning, the shortcoming is not in the exchange platform itself, but the concern about mistakes is in the individual traders themselves, you know what I mean.

I think a lot of people that were quick to reply didn't get what OP is trying to ask. He is asking suspension from conversion. What I observed about Binance is that when they add something there must be a reason for it and when they suspended something, there is a reason for that as well. If Binance add coin for conversion, it's because there is demand for such coin and if they later remove it, then it means they don't see demand and are not making money from it again. So OP, I hope I answered your question.

Binance don't suspend coins but when there is upgrade, they suspend deposit and perhaps withdrawals. They don't stop the trading in spot but they may suspend the future trading of that coin but they don't suspend any coin. If there is a reason for any suspicious move, they can only halt deposit.
