I keep hearing this
OMG THEY'VE KILLED FRITZ!!!
(or if you're younger, "Kenny")
every few days...
but still see all sorts of businesses accommodating btc, changing policy to accept it, all kinds of btc buzz about it, and because of it, btc still has enormous room to escalate in value...so it's not dead.
It might tank down a bit but it's not flatlining and it's never flatlined and because it solves the problems for people that it solved, it's not going to flatline.
Come back in a decade and then holler btc is dead. It could be by then but now? No way...it's got a good half dozen year shelf life, and even then some I'd wager.
The commercial internet for the general public was rolled out about the early 90s and took a good 5 years for it to kinda catch on. But by 2k, even in spite of the Y2K COMPUTERS ARE EVIL IT'S GAME OVER protests, not only was it not dead, it didn't do shit but grow and flourish. Five years later, things like Twitter, Facebook, smart phones, and tablets hit and it's still going strong.
Btc had its initial 5 years of it just being introduced to the public and early adopters. THIS marks the next 5 year period where new products hit the market that make btc a household name...this is bitcoin's y2k...it's going UP from here, after this y2k panic crap settles down.
