Have you bet on card before because of the referee used for the match?

I think that such a bet on what cards and in what quantity the referee will show can only be made in those matches that are the biggest sporting events.
The thing is that in leagues that are quite small there are often cases of fixed matches and therefore the referee there can also be bribed. Because of which he will favor one team, and judge positively for the other. And the average bettor has no way of knowing who the referee will be in such a match. This means that the bet will be unpredictable.

While place bet on sports betting especially football I don't think of placing bet on cards as I think cards are more difficult technical to win than just normal win, over, under, home or away, home win or draw and away win or draw. Also like how many goals in first half and how many goals in second half, both half total goals. These options makes it more easier than having to bet on either yellow or red card.

The betting sites still make use of the odds to have the advantages. This can still make some people to bet on card because they know no selection is guaranteed. Betting on cards is not common but I have seen people that are betting in it. If most people are not betting on it, the bookmarkers would have removed it from what bettors can select while betting.

What I am just curious to know are people that will use referees to bet on cards. I still doubt this. According to many PO on this thread, they also have my own opinion.

I have argued this on a thread before and not quite long, but maybe I am wrong. If you are not betting on sport like football, do not bother to choose either yes or no.

Since I have been betting, I have not thought of this before. Is the referee the reason you bet on yellow or red cards?

I will say yes to this because there are certain referees that you will see in a match and you will know that cards will flow in that particular match. Because the referee won't overlook certain things that are supposed to be yellow carded or red carded. Especially if the match is a high profile matche between rival clubs or a derby match. When situations like this align with each other just know that cards will be flow in that particular match. There are certain referees that don't like giving cards in a matches, if you bet on cards and such referees are officiating in the match, just forget about it you will lose the bet.

It's the ideal, but at least in football I've seen that referees sometimes manipulate matches as they please , they don't care about VAR, if they are "sure of their decision" then VAR doesn't come into play, this has been seen in League, PL, Bundesliga matches, in South American World Cup qualifiers, that's why on some platforms if you say they will give yellow or red cards then they give you more money if you get it right.

Did you noticed this on top leagues like English premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Seria A and Lique 1? What I noticed referees are using VAR for is for examples, to know something related to goal to if a player is offside or not or if a goal is worth it or if the opponent tackle player is worth penalty kick. I think in those top leagues, referees are giving a better judgement about these but we all know that lower leagues that I even might not have heard of before can manipulate.

Even though some certain referees are known for giving out yellow or red cards unnecessarily to players, I don't use because of a referee to bet on yellow or red cards. If I want to bet on yellow or red cards, I usually look out for leagues where all the referees are fond of giving out yellow or red cards unnecessarily to players so that my goals will be achievable.
