i can not use mine servers domain name see below is note working!!

I only succeed mining with mine vps serves's IP-adres --> 37.97........

so this is not working:

./bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://dutchmining.nl:3333 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword

But this is working well!!:

./bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://37.97.........:3333 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword

How come? i use a ubuntu ls 14.04 Server for solo mining, with bitcoins blocks, with a VPS Server and his VPS-ipadress everything runs fine, with the servers domain-name (dutchmining.nl) not....

What did i wrong, maybe?

Thanks Anyway!

Make sure your miner can resolve domain names (i.e. check if it has DNS server configured that is valid and working).

Thanks for your quick response!

But howto check that? And do so have a link or info howto setup configure, when it's not available in my server?

Simply try "ping google.com" on your miner and see if it can resolve it to an IP. If you get "unknown host" or something like that you have no DNS server configured.

Honestly save yourself the time and look at CK pool - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.0

It is perfectly set up and ready to use.  And it charges very low considering what it provides really.
