Hope you don't mind me using the portable client. Having a few problems using the regular one. And the fact that it is actually easier to access my bitcoins from a different computer when I need to.

I actually use Electrum a lot, because I like the idea of having a brainwallet, and the servers make syncing so much easier.

sudo apt-get install -y python-sip; sudo pip install slowaes; sudo pip install ecdsa

but it looks like there is a typo there: it should be python-pip, not python-sip...
