Avira and Avast are both very decent IMO and also have free versions.

NOD32 is the best IMO, used multiple antiviruses before and the easiest and most comfortable on the device was NOD32.

i used avast free antiVir. i advice you. that's my favoritte beacuse its useful and very easy.

good choice, norton have a great system guard, but if you have a problem with RAM
you may choose avast, this antivirus not overload the performance of your computer's RAM

How about bitdefender and kaspersky

i have been using kaspersky for like many years now. all good. and recently started using bitdefender on my other system. It good likewise.

These may use a bit more resources of your PC but it good.

Guys, just kill your Windows and install some Linux distr. Use firewalls like IPtables and your brain (don't install alll packets indiscriminately)  Smiley
