I have invested in the Stratis project, and get a good profit out of it. Thank you dev of Stratis. But I still don't understand the hype behind this project. Correct me if I am wrong:
Stratis : C# version of Bitcoin
Lisk : Java version of Bitcoin

Stratis ranked #10, but Lisk ranked #26. What makes Stratis better than, say, Lisk?

It might be because c# is native to Microsoft, so they are able to make some nice deals in this direction, c#, .net.  This and perhaps the reason Stratis is more "known" among investors. Overall i think Lisk will also jump some day.

how do you measure success here? CMC?

Of course if you have a handful of insiders owning and selling the coins to themselves for ever increasing prices whilst sucking in people who see it going up you can make the marketcap huge.

You can make money riding these thing up but you can lose huge if any big whales decide it is time to drop the hammer on it.

If a token does not have a wide initial distribution  and you didnt get in on that then after it has gone 20x 50x 100x you are just playing a dangerous game with these because your fate is in the hands of just a few whales who will eventually want to cash out for the largest profit that they can.

Having said that stratis is not the worst culprit there are far worse projects

Grossly over valued compared to many other projects at this point though.
