I've been noob trolling the forum while I can't post I've downloaded a fair few clients , I only have about 3m# and as we all know power isn't getting any cheaper .

So I'm coming from the point of long term return .

Thing that effect that is how many units are floating around and who got them right at the start also current diff and how many you get if a block is found .

This is what I've come up with :

 - BBQcoin

is  diff 1.035   and gives you 42 units if you find a block .

Info is hard to find about if it was premined or even what the reward was up until this diff ?
But its diff is low and seems like it would be worth having some .
Its a bit crass and spammy but fun enough that it could gain traction .

Its not currently listed on any major exchanges I can see .

Also I just found

- nibble  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=216637.0

Current diff is 3.98  it seems like it wasn't pre mined , according to the specs it had a low reward at the start .

Looking for the current reward info now ?

It has a cool logo and seems like they are taking things more seriously.

Ill def pick this up atm , and see where it goes .

Also not on any major exchanges I can see .

Also

- Novacoin seems to be consistent .
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=143221.0

Diff is 179  and reward is fairly lower at 11 but its currently on btc- e exchange and seems to have a solid price .

People claim it was premined but , if you look into it they were deleted according to block .

Will probably buy some perhaps mine a few and see how it goes .

The rest as far as I can see are scams in the sense that a few people loaded up with them and are trying to get you to drive the price up so they can offload .

If I'm wrong please reply !

Some info I got from coinchoose.com

Some from just the forum .

Anyone a link to phx specs ?

Yeah but according to coinchoose ppc is sha256 I don't own an ASIC so wouldn't I just buy ?

But then won't all the ASICS keep the price low as they dump all they have,  I'd get hosed ! I come from a stock market background so I know all these tricks .

Is phx scrypt of sha256 ?

Yeah I probably will when I have enough # power maybe just set a reliable rig towards it and let it go .

That doesn't really make sense.  Doesn't matter what your hash rate is, litecoin is still going to be your safest bet.

What you said actually makes no sense , why is ltc my "safest bet" ?

You see the future ?

As for phx  I just looked it up , 1 million were pre mined ?

Fail.

I'm checking out nibble , digicoin  and nvc at the moment , nibble diff may drop soon , and it seems well supported .

If you have the hardware, I'd go for WDC or just plain old simple BTC.

PXC is a candidate: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211165.0

LKY is another: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=214614.0

These both are not on an exchange, and I don't recommend trading them on the boards as scammers are all over these two.
Hold the coins for longer term. Highly speculative.

DGC: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=209508.0
is on cryptsy and can be sold right after mining currently decent premium over LTC.
Price is volatile but has an upward trajectory.

Doesn't hurt to 'instamine' the new ones if you can catch them at low difficulty, few of them out this weekend, USC, DNC and MMC today
