Ever heard of renewable energy sources like the wind, sun and water? I’m sure scientists will think of something to lessen our dependency on oil. Bitcoin is a lifesaver to a lot of people. How can it destroy the world?

In my opinion. bitcoin can change the world for the better and can also destroy the world. if bitcoin is used for illegal acts such as corruption, money laundering or drug trafficking using bitcoin as currency then the world can be destroyed. but if bitcoin is used to develop the country's economy and improve the people's welfare then the country will grow and prosper.

Bitcoin, it is a opposite view of bitcoin. But if we say bitcoin improved economic growth all over the world, I really agree on that, but negative issue of bitcoin business is not a new in bitcoin business, almost everyday there are some forms of negative issues about bitcoin business, maybe because of the rapid popularity and increase of people who access bitcoin that's why a lots of people also wants to destruct the smooth operation of bitcoin.

Let's look at a fair way. There is no perfect technology to meet all aspects and needs of people. Bitcoin is just one of the most advanced currencies, built on a fair ground and gives you the freedom to finance and free your information. Stop doubting because bitcoin builds to create gadgets for humans. It depends on the purpose of the user to judge it good or bad.

Without a doubt Bitcoin exhausts vitality while mining, however it is our duty to make more powerful and safe strides toward that path. Receiving elective and sustainable power sources is the best answer for that issue. Bitcoin is going to acquire more points of interest to the world correlation with the vitality and prerequisites it needs. We are imaginative animals, we have dependably the capacity to discover the arrangement.

How do you say that bitcoin will destroy the world? Don't think too far like that because bitcoin and the technology behind it will change the world to the bright future. If the technology behind bitcoin (blockchain) can be implemented in any sector in the world I guess there will be a revolution in a good way. cmiiw. thanks

I'm not sure with your statics but as I know bitcoin transaction consume energy than normal visa or master card transaction. But we can produce energy from other source than OIL.  There are several cryptocurrency project  such as Wepower for energy sector to produce Green energy. When think about cost for other transaction, bitcoin is on the best in the world.

There is no energy problem with bitcoin mining. This problem is far-fetched. Already 17 million bitcoins have been extracted, only four remain. Now there are a lot of ways to develop alternative sources of energy, including sun, wind and so on. At the same time, the technologies for extracting this energy are becoming simpler and more accessible. Therefore, I do not see any problems in this.

If Bitcoin is used for negative action then Bitcoin will destroy the world. but we all need to support each other so that Bitcoin can be put to good use. Bitcoin is a revolution of technological sophistication. It will be very useful when we can use it well and will be a problem when used for bad / illegal actions.

Bitcoin mining is based on very high energy costs and environmental costs.

One bitcoin =20 barrels of oil.

How many barrels of oil do you think the industry consumes every year?

10 barrels? 50 barrel?

Each year, the mining industry consumes more than 24 terawatts of energy, the equivalent of 13,239,916 barrels of oil.

Every 10 minutes, 12.5 bitcoins are dug up, meaning 20 barrels of crude oil have been reached since each bitcoin was dug up (not yet traded).

In other words, the amount of energy consumed by the global bitcoin mining campaign is 40 times greater than the amount of energy needed to support the Visa card network.

One bitcoin transaction = one American family USES electricity a week.

According to encrypt the currency analyst Alex DE Vries estimate an index, the currency trading energy consumed each year more than 24 tw, this is equivalent to total energy consumed each year in Nigeria, which has a population of 186 million.

Currently, about 300,000 bitcoins are traded each day. Each bitcoin transaction costs 215 kilowatt-hours of energy.

The average American household USES about 901 kilowatt-hours of electricity a month, which means that each bitcoin exchange consumes enough energy to make an American family comfortable for a week.

What do you think about the energy consumption of bitcoin?
A good topic and an important question. In my opinion, the situation will change dramatically as soon as humanity moves to solar and hydro power. As long as we consume oil as the main source of energy, while having a more humane and reasonable sources of energy humanity will always be on the ears in problems.
