I guess it's not just me that way but almost all the gamblers do it. Gambling when bored and to eliminate boredom, and sometimes stop because of boredom as well. Definitely not all gamblers like that, but mostly like that. sometimes stress disappears after gambling.

And sometimes they forget their stress since other things their thinking, may it be the amount they lose or whether they will enjoy their winnings or bet in again on gambling.  Been in such situation before and it really stresses me that time.

It had been proven that gambling can remove stress, boredom and grief since, it is automatic that when our minds is occupied, we forget things that happen around us.  If we are sad or in grief, being occupied with something is a bliss.  That way we can escape those moments of sadness.  Same goes with boredom and worry.  And gambling do this best.

This is what makes gambling more preferable than doing other things like going out with family, relaxing and etc. When people are bored, sad and stressed they go to casinos or play gambling online because it gives this different kind of excitement when playing. Though it is considered as illegal many still cling to it and some become dangerously stick to it.

Most of the ones I know who gamble usually do it to win some money doing it.
They have a couple of bucks left over from their paychecks at the end of the week and tend to just do it so to enjoy themselves on a game they were waiting to see all week long.
And just putting alittle money on their favorite team just makes the game a bit sweeter to watch if they do manage to win it.

I also do not consider as playing gambling offline and online a relaxation because I don't like noisy places and I also do not like my time being spent on unimportant things. If I want to relax, I treat myself really good and I spent my day eating foods I like, watching movies and sleeping for straight and long 8 hours. As a student, most of the time I lack of sleep and sometimes I don't really sleep at all due to my busy schedule so when weekends come and if I don't have any projects to do, I go on relaxing. I have never think of gambling as a way of relaxing and escape to negativity because I believe that if I am sad and then I lose money because of playing, I will only be more sad.

It depends on the person, you guys can relax by doing sleeping, watching tv, playing mobile games etc. but some people will get relax by doing gambling. yes whenever they are under stress to get the relief they will play gambling. There are those who gamble for pass time. To forget their problems and entertain their own selves. Some who are heart broken spend time also in gambling so they dont focus on their emotions when they are busy of excited in gambling.

Sure, some people who have so much in life already and would not mind the little they are gambling will obviously not care and would just be passing away time, but the only unfortunate thing is that they are few and most people are really looking for how their luck can play out so they can end up winning a lot of money at the end of the day. Gambling is very good to eliminate boredom, most especially when you really want to get your blood hot and you understand that what you are doing is purely for the entertainment.

Otherwise, for someone who may not be able to see it as pure entertainment or fun and also do not have a mindset that they can lose what they are gambling with, then they are not escaping worry, trouble, boredom, loneliness, grief or lose like the Op said, they are only adding to it.

Most of the time I gamble to kill boredom. My gambling hobby started when I got married and my husband decided to stay in their place where I know no one much so to entertain myself I play online games until I discover online gambling and there where Im making my time pass playing dice.

I don't think it's the best if you just want to pay money to kill your boredom, you could easily play a video game or a game on your phone without necessarily paying and loosing some money for nothing. Entertainment can be free without you having to pay  for them so don't use gambling as an excuse to loose money.

The thrill itself are so different, you know gambling are an entertainment that makes your adrenaline pushed, that's what a lot of people looking for. Not just about making profit, having some fun ordinarily etc. it's an entertainment that you'll never find it anywhere else , i could say it's priceless. They think gambling are a good and quick way to double your money. It's your wild emotions, don't follow it. Just think about how gambling are so destructive, makes a lot of people suffering then you might would reconsider to waste your time for the sake of gambling.

Well, it's preferable for those who usually gamble. But not preferable to everyone, precisely if we talk about preferable, vacationing with family is more preferable than gambling. When stress, then we vacation with family, not just us who are happy, but our family is also happy, and see our family laugh happy is a very powerful thing to relieve stress.

True, when we had problems and we did gambling, it seems we won't be able to enjoy our game. And it for sure can give us another problem since the chance to lose our money will be bigger because we can't focus on the game. It is better to avoid gambling when we had problems.
