Here's are a few great lines from the article (translated by Google of course).

But Bitcoin is too expensive, so cheaper Dogecoin welcome. Its on-line only a week's time, it will become the second largest tip money. They are hoping Facebook can accept Dogecoin, so your friends can point not only praise, but also the way to give you some tips.

The article (translated by Google) --->

Bitcoin adjourned the most wonderful myth 2013 birth of e-money currency dogs
At 08:10 on December 24, 2013   Wall Street horizons     I have something to say ( 278 participants)
It may be 2013's most wonderful little story.

An Australian brand and marketing expert, a programmer in Portland, Oregon, the two men had never met before, but this year's success will be the most popular of the two products - Bitcoin and dogs (Doge, Tyrant of Americans Doge just like China in prevalence) combined together, the result Dogecoin born. And people are really using it.

If you have not heard the story about the "Shiba" (Doge Meme) of the case, it may be difficult to explain. Anyway, the figure is accompanied by a Shiba Inu few words, these words marked the font to use special color, for example, so below. Then the American people feel very funny (strange humor).

Even if do not understand it does not matter, anyway, this is not the focus, the focus is on the line it was like.

About a month ago, Jackson Palmer Adobe Sydney market sector company has been studying electronic money, after reading the Doge whim, on Twitter sent a tweet: Investment Dogecoin, this is the next big opportunity.

Shortly thereafter he got a lot of replies, all encouraged him to continue to complete the idea. And a week later he bought Dogecoin.com the domain name, which is the Doge's stronghold reddit included.

Meanwhile, in Portland, Billy Markus always wanted to create their own electronic money, and he hoped that money to meet the needs of more people, rather than bitcoins as speculators services. Sign in Dogecoin.com just did two days, he happened to know this site, suddenly felt vest found.

So he gave Palmer sent a tweet, meaning co-presentation. Before Palmer replies, he began to rearrange the bitcoin source code, and joined the Doge Meme elements.

Later, the two hit it off in a week or so after half-jokingly tweets Palmer released, Dogecoin born.

Under reddit fueled this site immediately on fire. But two weeks, Dogecoin already have a dedicated blog, forums, market capitalization of $ 8,000,000, once emerged as the world's seventh largest electronic money.

  How does it do it?

The answer is "tip." If you show a fairly good scripts on the Internet, people usually willing to give you tips electronic money. Tipping culture prevalent in the United States, this kind of thing is easy to get recognition.

But Bitcoin is too expensive, so cheaper Dogecoin welcome. Its on-line only a week's time, it will become the second largest tip money. They are hoping Facebook can accept Dogecoin, so your friends can point not only praise, but also the way to give you some tips.

Reason Dogecoin so popular these days, of course, more than that.

Technically speaking, Dogecoin virtually Wright currency is a faction, they are based on Scrypt algorithm, and Wright currency as its trading process more convenient than bitcoins, and their numbers are more, Dogecoin dug up 100 billion, which is 21 million bitcoins.

Palmer also mentioned, Dogecoin not like Bitcoin as people not only to speculation involved, it is a way of sharing and expressing gratitude.

On Thursday, the average price Dogecoin soared to $ 0.002, but suddenly began to fall on Friday and Sunday evenings prices nearly dropped to $ 0.0003, compared with Thursday's high of nearly 80 percent decline.

Billy Markus explains, Dogecoin bursting with popularity during this time, as profitable, so the mining of too many people.

Dogecoin slipped though, it is still one of the most popular electronic money.

I don't get it, it's divisible to 6 decimal places. Maybe some don't really understand that concept yet? Or they like the feeling of having non-fraction coins?

While your comment above was meant to be facetious, I think that you hit the nail on the head.  The average person makes decisions based on emotions and not logic.  We first use our emotions to make a decision and then use logical to justify why we did what we did.

I believe that most people who aren't familiar with crypto will want to see 1000.000000 in their Facebook accounts than .002345

So when it comes to sending your friend some coins on Facebook, they'd rather send them 14 coins (Doge) than .000067 coins. Just looks better, feels better and a heck of a lot easier to calculate. Remember, we're talking about the average person, not your tech-savvy Bitcoin user.

Whether it is Dogecoin or Bitcoin, the end result will be the same for the sender and receiver (sender sends crypto, recevier receives crypto), so both cryptos accomplish the exact same thing.

The major difference between the two is exactly what you jokingly pointed out; Dogecoins will LOOK better in an account.  So what is perceived as a weakness for Dogecoin can actually be one of its greatest strengths if it is adopted on a site such a Facebook.
