DT1 hasn't filled up yet.  While frustrations with the current state of DT1 are certainly understandable and justified, I think it's a bit too early to be demanding changes from theymos at this point.  At least give his idea a chance to see how it works once it has been fully realized.  There's still a lot of space for positive change.  If you want to be part of the positive change, use the tools you have at your disposal (merit, trust settings).  If that doesn't work once everything is in place and somewhat static, then you might have a more legitimate gripe with the system.  For now we should chalk up the current state of DT1 to growing pains and keep faith that a better system awaits on the other side.
