Since both of them using the same address, I believe they are alt account; the only fact to reconsider is airfinex is trying to defame smoolae which I really doubt as the account doesn’t seem to be a good one to target.
Other connections which you shared may be true but they are not enough proof as people may exchange, sell or use such wallets which eventually link up the connection of one address with others. May be that's what happened. I'm just trying to share the possible outcome.

In addition, his frequent quotes with reference to Theymos' words about confidentiality as an argument make me think that this guy is not an idiot and added this ETH address just for a diversion. If so, then you wasted your time on this investigation.

It's not delusional at all; I had the same thought, and I seriously doubt this is a case of contagious delusion.  The timing says it all, IMO, and I'm talking about the timing between airfinex's post here and the creation of this thread.  But all of that aside, there does seem to be a connection between those accounts that's supported by blockchain evidence.

As for his accusation, if I wanted some kind of revenge, I would put him a negative trust. Believe me, this is much easier and faster than creating such topics that you don't suspect of anything.

If you left him a negative for accusing you of plagiarism, you'd most likely end up being ~'ed from some members' trust lists, including mine, since that would be a bogus reason for a red trust.  And speaking of that, if you're convinced that airfinex is an alt account of a bounty cheater, why haven't you tagged him accordingly?  Don't know if you're on DT or not, but since you're the one who presented the evidence it seems like yours should be the first negative trust on his profile.

I'm not going to get into the Ratimov-airfinex argument, as I'm only recently learning what happened, but I agree with you that airfinex is anything but dumb. He's quite clever, and while we won't be able to know for sure, it seems quite plausible to me that he added the address to mislead. He doesn't seem at all like the typical bounty-hunter shitposter who usually gets caught by lovesmayfamilis for ban evasion for having used the same or a clearly connected address.

To me it seems like a weakness to try to defame the person who made some valid arguments. I still think the plagiarism rules should be adjusted, this shouldn't be allowed (see my reasons why).
