Go to a local PC or mobile store in your city and get a long data cable that is long enough for your needs. Alternatively, use the Bluetooth feature of your Nano X.
Fortunately I have plenty of cables from other devices at home, so I can use it instead of original one.
This is what makes a single standardized cable format so good. Almost everyone has accumulated a lot of USB cables from various devices.
The standard length of the Ledger Nano S / S+ / X cable has always been less than 1m. The following sizes are indicated on the official website: 71 mm x 86 mm x 25 mm.
Now I took cable from my old Nano S to check and it's exactly 1m long
I readily believe that in previous versions the parameters could have been different. The above sizes are from their official website. Apparently, the company reduced the cable length in order to save money.
Considering that it's impossible to find a replacement screen for the Nano X [it's exactly the opposite for the Nano S], the only option would be to ask for a replacement unit [if it's still under warranty].
- As a workaround, place your device in a slightly darker room, then try looking at it through the rear camera of your phone (default settings) to slightly improve what you're seeing (it's not going to be as good as what you're experiencing on the Nano S [4K], but it's better than nothing [maybe FHD]).
I didn't bought it, got it from promotion for free. And later sender turned into scam (Betnomi). So, I'm not sure that's under warranty and can I ask for replacement. Anyway, it doesn't looks that bad that I would need such lifehack to see things on screen. Just inconvenient and I wouldn't use it as my main wallet.
I am inclined to believe that you will not be able to replace this device (received as a prize) under warranty, since you are not the buyer. Ledger's support team will likely require proof, such as the order number, date, address and other information (which is usually requested) for confirmation.
