I got thinking, are we going to experience the new phase in gambling this way, for example, crypto casinos and game providers taking their slot machines to public places for relaxation to have them installed so people can play their favorite slot games on the go?
That had already been happening in the 1900s with analog machines.. infact, you'll only be able to access them through places like bars and drinking palours. That was where people gathered to stake real money on PVP gambling, so you should rather ask if they will be a time like that again.

But you see, technology has evolved real quick before our eyes and a single device can do a ton of jobs that would have been performed by a ton of huge, bulky, sometimes over-heating devices. Also, people tend to prefer having private lives away from the public attention these days. With so many other reasons, I don't think we're going back to those times from here.

Really? Why compare it to an ATM? That doesn’t even make sense. An ATM gives you cash, while a slot machine eats your cash. Totally opposite ...  Cheesy
An ATM generates income for the bank that has had it installed, so also can a slot machine generate income for a casino or game provider that has it installed, that is where the comparison come in.

So whether you like it or not, all the money from the ATM goes to the person who installed it, and the same goes for the slot machine. But when you see the slot machine, it makes you lose money instead of giving you money, so there is a slight difference

I don`t think so. I think that i common gambler, who use it for different goals - sometimes getting profit, sometimes getting relax. We just don`t know about such gamblers - it is not interesting story, to tell about someone, who won $100 and lost $50. Newspapers don`t write about it.
PS. Last 10 years i was in offline casinos twice. It was really wonderful adventure. Last time i lost about $400 if i don`t forgot something but it was cool.

You hit the nail on the head mak013. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose, if your goal is to relax and play i don't know 10 euros a day relaxes you, good.
But if you have financial problems and you need those 10 euros and you play hoping to win, you don't relax at all, on the contrary you stress yourself out.
As for me, if 10 euros is big enough sum, the best way is to spend all the time getting money - change job, get additional job. And surely not gambling - chances to get money not so high to risk. Of course it depends on situation, country, but i don`t think that someone will play with 5 cent bets.
PS. I can mistake, because i spend 3-4 euros on one coffee and can`t imagine that someone can live few days on such sum.

It really depends on government regulations. Slot machines aren’t just for fun, they need real money to play.

If they’re placed everywhere, it could lead to addiction, and that becomes a problem for the government. Maybe they make sense in places where people already spend money, like bars or entertainment spots. But definitely not in public areas, especially where kids might see them. Curiosity starts early, and we don’t want them learning about gambling that young. Not cool at all.

Thinking about how harmful it can be I don't that any government of a country would allow it. Putting up gambling spots in every location can cause more harm than good to the society. Online gambling and land based gambling centers is enough avenue for everyone to do what they want when they are interested in it not putting up slot machines in people's faces lol. We'd have more gambling addicts.

Gambling dens are localized in specific areas and they are often growing in the places already know for it. Online gambling does not have this nuance.

However in countries like Japan, the gambling habit of salary-men is so much so that you put up arcade like slot machines or plinko machines and they will come there just to roll the coins there only.

For those who have been gambling with offline casinos, they stick to those only and same with online casinos, loyal (<VIP users) will use the same for years.

What are you thinking?
I think it's a bad idea, honestly. Except if alcoholic drinks won't be served there, then we might consider it a bit. You know how gamblers get vexed and unnecessarily provoked when they lose money on bets. That's even when they're not under any influence. Now, put them under the influence of alcohol, it's a bad combination because they can become problematic and boisterous. Expect fights to often break out in such joints.

I am so against having slot machines installed in the public, we have schools around, imagine walking your kid to school in the morning and he ask you what the machine is for, even if you lied to him he will figure it out and wait till he get some cash to try it out.

This is the type of gambling nonsense that needs to be earse from the public, because the more easier it becomes to access the more unsafe it will be for the public especially the kids, banners are even better than having a machine that can make or take your money.

If kids find this out they will want to try it out and they won't stop because they can't even tell if what they are doing is wrong or not, it will be disastrous, gambling adverts are fine with little public ads like banner and mostly online.

The development of technology can make everything easier, with one device we can make various choices for gambling, even in today's era most people are more closed about their activities when gambling, unlike in the past someone who wanted to gamble had to go to a special place to be able to place a bet. The sensation of the game will indeed be very different, but for now most people will prefer a Comfortable feeling when gambling without having to bother visiting a gambling place
