Hello all  Grin

In an effort to correct a few glaring inaccuracies that seem to have been overlooked by both the original (and non-existent) poster as well as forum moderators - I have decided to create this unofficial (but honest) pool thread where BAN mugs miners can air their frustrations/concerns about WTF is going on over at ButHurtNet.

In keeping with the original & official thread - you will receive sod all support here also.

Payment System: Some strange kind of *BSPS + 10% Bonus (NOT REALLY - but it fools the noobs)  Wink
Payment Intervals: Definitely not every 1,2,4,8,12 or 24 hours - more like 170+ hours (1 week) if you're lucky, if the wallet hasn't been robbed (again), providing s0br hasn't fluttered your coins away on rentals & can be bothered at all. Small miners can expect to wait a lot longer.
Merged Mining: Currently NMC (With the same weird PPS type thing, again, if you're lucky) - but don't expect to see any of it.

S0br has been inactively developing what we consider is technically the most inaccurate/mist shrouded/shady/loss making pool in existence.

We're as transparent as a concrete wall. We're completely inaccurate. We make false claims constantly with many broken promises. How can we prove that? - we cant, so we just ignore all your questions completely & pretend you're not there (after you've given us your hash of course).

* Note: It's not important for us at all to pay you at exactly the interval you specify plus or minus a few days/weeks. This reason being is that this makes it easy for you to visually see that you're not getting paid what you're supposed to.

So what's there for any miner to risk trying us out? Give us one hour of some of your hash rate and see for yourself how you won't get paid a thing for quite some time, if at all.

You're feedback is unwelcome & we look forward to robbing you blind. If you have any questions, please don't bother contacting us here - it's a complete waste of time.

If you're still mad stupid thinking of giving us a try, check out the link below:

I think it will get deleted due to the title saying that it is an honest thread.

BAN no longer offers 10% bonus last I looked it was 1%

Maybe there still is an official BAN page that says the bonus is 10%.

If so the this thread's title is not a lie.

Hey op .

can you show me a link to a ban page stating 10% bonus?

I do agree that ban pays slow.
I do agree they sometimes skip the bonus coins.

I just took a look at the "official" 1st page - it does indeed say a 10% bonus:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=854368.0

This thread looks to be a "revised" version of the original, with a few "additions".......I laughed  Cheesy

1st page of the "official" thread, as linked to above.

Yup, just thought I'd clean the lies up a bit...... Wink

As far as I know, unofficial threads are allowed. It would be strange if the truthful thread was deleted & the dishonest thread was left in place, don't you think?  Wink

Just trying to bring some awareness.......& make a few people smile  Grin

Payment System: PPS + 101% Bonus. Paid only if we find enough blocks

A team of us have been actively developing what we consider is technically the most accurate/transparent/NONprofitable pool in existence.

Our combined oustanding balance in queue to be paid is 132.50574770 Bitcoin.
There are 2 mined blocks waiting to mature, totalling 50 Bitcoin

DON'TSignup at: https://mining.bitcoinaffiliatenetwork.com/index.php?page=register

AS  Only invited users are allowed to register.

We are currently not accepting new user registrations.

BAN miners who complain about not getting paid would go mine somewhere else.

We're NOT transparent. We're accurate. How can we prove that?

Use your miner's statistics... AND UNPAID BALANCES

* Note: It's important for us to be able to pay you at exactly the interval you specify plus or minus a few seconds DAYS. This reason being is that this makes it easy HARD for you to visually see that you're getting paid what you're supposed to.

Really this thread serves a purpose to show just how far the pool has strayed from the basic ideas that it was told to us why it was started. Most that were not there at the start may not know unless they go find the original 1st thread that was locked.

Yeah... that deleted thread was quite the hot topic around here for a while... man people were so freaking butthurt over that S3 giveaway.  All kinds of claims about fake photos, fake winners, fake shipping labels... it was like watching a train wreck... people were just hammering each other.  Of course, you had the crazy antics of fire000 mixed in there - that guy's rantings were pretty classic.  Completely unintelligible ravings full of venom and spewing nonsense to anybody and everybody.

Anyway, since this thread is supposed to offer zero proof (says so right in the thread title), we should probably cease our efforts at actually digging up such things Tongue

Kano dishes out a nice smackdown:

What? You prefer to lie about your pool than post the truth in the OP post which has been wrong for a while...

Your current Pool OP post that you wont fix even when told on the forum by users.
Which still right now says:
...
Payment System: PPS + 10% Bonus. ( Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy)
Payment Intervals: 1,2,4,8,12,24 hours. ( Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy)
...

Shame on us. As a direct result of this, we have decided to do absolutely nothing to correct our lies. Furthermore, we will continue to ignore our own thread & pretend that nothing is wrong.

N0ts0br.

Wow... kano ripped s0br a new one there.  Let's see how what s0br states translates:

I spend $20,000 a month buying btc to offset the variance not to mention around 200+ BTC I've had to cover from hacks and thefts from the earlier days... Even with our registrations being closed our speed is increasing... which doesn't make things easier for me.

At $250 a coin, that's 80BTC he's personally buying a month to offset variance.  BAN is hashing at about 4.5PH/s.  Assuming that number has been constant for the past 4 weeks, and with the difficulty pretty much flat over that time (average was 46943160304), BAN should have found 53 blocks give or take.  According to the pool's stats, BAN found 51.  So, BAN is 2 blocks shy, meaning s0br's on the hook for 50BTC.

But wait... he's not really on the hook, is he?  After all, he goes on further to state:

Yes.. now with the current delayed payments people do take a risk.. but they can mine a little.. test things.. mine somewhere else and wait. The idea here is to offer people another alternative...

What is this delayed payment stuff?  There is no such thing in PPS.  You do not wait on block confirmations to make payments.  Why is the miner suddenly taking the risk?  The whole premise of PPS is that the POOL takes on the risk.  As both kano and organofcorti rightly state, this is not PPS.  kano calls it BFPPS.  organofcorti calls it PPB.  Whatever you want to call it, the fact remains that it's not PPS.

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.

And that's precisely the point.  A true PPS pool pays out for your submitted shares at the point in time where you request a payout, assuming of course your payout is above the pool's minimum threshold.

What BAN is doing is paying a backlog.  Using funds from mined blocks to payout some users some amount of owed shares is not PPS.

Phil - I can only assume you were able to rent that 100TH/s at a cost less than what you'd expect to earn, otherwise why would you ever point it to a PPS pool?  If you were indeed able to find that kind of deal, congrats Smiley

**Unofficial ButHurtNet announcement**

We have been ignoring our miners very closely since we started this 1st 2nd latest thread, and after no discussion & many split seconds of investigation, it is our complete guess that most of you don't understand our PPS system - which is understandable, due to the fact that it's complete BS. To reflect this, we have decided to re-name it to BSPS (BullShitPayoutSystem) in an effort to piss our users off a little more.

We have also broken with our long tradition of not updating the OP so as to be as shady & secretive as possible, as always.

This will be our one & only support post this year. Thank you for mining for us, we do appreciate your coins, but don't ask us for them.

total --------------------- = 1.036021 btc

and some alt coin

3.07821193 doge

Not too bad... Nice way to earn 3 and change percent.  Hope you get paid Smiley

yeah  it is very rare to get  a price that good at nicehash.

It was just under 20 hours  non stop to spend the 1 btc and earn the coins at BAN.

I spent the 1 btc for a few reasons.

The biggest one  is to show the pool's payout system works and pays higher then 100% when it pays.

at 0.0101 a th . for renting price you need factor in nicehash fess which are 2 percent and .0005 flat so  the real price is 0.0101 /.98 =

0.010311 btc a th  this includes the 0.0005 fee nicehash charges to prevent sapm.

0.010311    since 1 th earns 0.01076 according to bitcoinwisdom   I should earn 0.000449 for each th  this would be 0.0449 for the 100 btc and 0.000449 for the 1 % bonus

grand total of 0.045349 btc.   not counting free nmc and doge.    I earned  0.035 or so.  due to hash lost.  both nicehash and ban had some lost hash

looking at  1.035 coins vs 1.045349 coins if perfect  and the nmc and doge  is about 0.005 btc  a very patient user of nicehash can do very well here.

The main issue the facts above point to  is very simple why does BAN still run a pool that has to lose money?

He may be very picky in his rental at nicehash.  He may look to do what I just did on a bigger scale.
On paper he overcomes all fees all bonus he give us the normal miner.  It should absolutely make money.  But since he is the pool op his enemy is variance and the lack of nicehash giving cheap rentals like the one I just got.

So now I will wait a bit for my 1.035 btc

Actually it made me feel better to do this test as It shows me BAN can work with a variation of the above being done by both us the miners and the pool op himself.

With all of us making money .  The biggest enemy is variance.  The next enemy is expensive rentals

Due to the drop in BTC price, we will increase the average waiting time for payouts from 60+ hours to 80+ hours. If any miner has waited longer than this, please post here so we can ignore your complaint.

Updated out BSPS (BullShitPayoutSytem) waiting time to 168+ hours (1 week). Miners who constantly post complaints about their lack of payments might get paid earlier. Maybe. Maybe not - it depends on our mood. Either way, we'll continue to ignore you.

Current downtime is planned. I ran out of cash again, so am in the process of robbing the pool wallet & inventing another hacking story about a compromised wallet, works every time. As soon as I've cleaned out your BTC & finished writing up the story I'll switch the pool on again.......

Thanks for the coins  Smiley

                               **Urgent Announcement**

Many users have noticed that their BTC have gone missing from their balances since we got back online, so we have decided to break our promise of non-communication & non-transparency to explain in detail what has happened:

I stole them.

Thanks.

                                                          **Urgent Announcement**

We've made a change to our BullShit Payout System (BSPS). In order to not receive their earnings, miners are now required to log on to our irc channel (#butthurtnet) & wait for a few days in the slim hope that I will appear online at some point. If I do, miners must personally beg me for their payments. I will then either ignore you or only pay the miners who I like & have large hash power, if I do at all.

Thanks for the BTC.

I was wondering when you were going to break your silence and make another announcement!  Now everyone can point their miners back here since they will maybe possibly get paid if they show up in IRC begging.  Oh, and you better not get sick for 8 days again!  Must have been quite the sickness.  Sure hope all those BTC donations helped you with your medical expenses!

                                         **Announcement**

Due to my fluttering your coins away at MRR all miners will have an extra long wait for payments.

About 100 days. If you're lucky.
