We have a new mining pool online. We're using a proportional payout system for each round. In an effort to solicit beta testers we're paying a 10% bonus on all bitcoins mined.

Here are some recent links to transactions the pool has paid out recently...

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I do some affiliate marketing when I have time and a reason to promote...

I'm not sure I understand your concept, though...

I get 12.5% of what?

The earnings the pool gets from the referral or from how much the referral earns?

In such a case, how do you intend to pay the affiliates?

I mean where do you get the extra coin, your own mining?

Your pool is also still in Beta, that right there is something that will turn off most users who prefer a stable pool that is no longer in testing phase.

I do some affiliate marketing when I have rare spare time but I'd never promote a beta product.

Reason is because I learned from experience.

You pay for promotional emails and PPC campaigns, then realize the jackass developer cheaped out on the hosting, site went down after a few 100 clicks and there goes thousands of dollars down the drain because once your order is placed, there's no money back.

I'm not the only one, that's probably why your response is so low.

Affiliates make their living by promoting products so if they promote a less-than-perfect product, it's THEIR name on the line.

If your business is 90% a result of your good reputation, you protect it with your life and don't promote stuff you don't regularly use yourself.

Finish your site first and I'll see what I can do, I might even put it forward to my affiliate friends.

You're almost there, I love your stats Smiley

PS: I recommend a two tier program.  This means, something like 10% from your direct referrals and 2.5% from your referral's referrals.  The two tier ONLY campaigns are no longer considered MLM in the internet marketing world...  well, with most marketers I know anyways (the ones that actually make money), that's why you can now arrange multi-tier campaigns in Clickbank.

All the best,

-GigaBit

You get 12.5% on top of your share of bitcoins earned from mining...

The current pool speed is 450TH/s...

The affiliate network is an upcoming project. This mining pool is a piece of it that needs testing. There are no pool fees and no donation requirements. The payout system being used is proportional. A 12.5% BTC bonus is being awarded on top of what your PROP payout would be. Yes.. it's beta in the sense it's new to the public... however the codebase is mature.

While your experience is regretful, it is not the case here...

The affiliate network is the true fun project. A place one can earn money offering real-time payouts on traffic to various verticals via BTC is just one of the many fun things coming.

I do some affiliate marketing when I have time and a reason to promote...

I am on the pool since Sunday. I like the dashboard, I have no problems getting in or connecting my miners. I like that I recieve emails if my miner is idle, log in attempts, blocks and etc. This is a really good miner interface. The only thing is that the hash rate needs to be increased.

I pointed 1TH/s worth of AntMiners over to you but started you off as a failover.

Going to test your pool out for a week and see if it pays out decently for my hashing power.

They're all machines I was going to just turn off and sell but I always like trying new pools.

I really like the interface, it's quite simplistic but modern but I do have suggestions:

-Use affiliate links so I can post to my websites, emails & forum signatures - You only use email invite right now correct, that's 1980's technology.
-Change stat speeds to at least GH/s instead of KH/s, seriously fucks me up every time; it's just overall an easier conversion to KH/s, TH/s & PH/s from GH/s.
-Get a new domain name, it's too generic and hard to remember, get a brandeable name; many people shun upon affiliate marketing because the amount of fraud.
-Your home page sucks, whatever you got there now should be a banner x'able announcement on the home page.
-You'd have the coolest pool if you shown stats live on your homepage.
-Using Prop is a VERY bad idea, too easy to rip off prop pools for pro hoppers like me, you end up losing; I'll never mine a prop pool regularly.
-I recommend doing what Eclipse does, offer both PPS & DGM and you can set your workers for either; one of my fave features in mining they have my whole mine's failover.
-Live stats, 50ms update
-Give difficulty suggestions and the ability to input your own.
-Best pools to model are BTC Guild, Eclipse and BitMinter

Do all the above and I'll point the rest of my machines over and spread the word.  Affiliate link would be another deal breaker for me, for email to work you have to have a friend who mines and I don't have any friends who mine anymore professionally but I know how to find miners and make a compelling sales pitch.  I'm just going to test the pool for a week or so and give an honest opinion.  If anyone NEEDS TO KNOW, they do pay, as low as BTC0.0001 and yes you need to change it if you don't want to get paid failover money at every block found (lol).  I learned that the hard way from not changing the minimum payout, those minute amounts get really annoying after a while; kinda like a tease lol

For example, when I mine Eclipse regularly, I use DGM.  When I use them as main failover, like I do now, I set it as PPS because I don't lose shares like you do with PPLNS method, which using one as failover is just plain stupid.  I believe that PPS is going to make a come back as the favored payment method in the not so distant future.  I could even predict F2Pool overtaking GHash as #1 Bitcoin mining pool.  They're making a killing at 4% fee but Eclipse only charges

I like your pool's interface but not enough for me to mine regularly at on prop.

I'm willing to help out but I will take that 2.5% aff cut from my own mining assets as payment; I work as a video gaming beta tester, I don't work for free Wink

If you haven't thoroughly tested your affiliate program, I can do that too but you'll still need to add the possibility for links ie: mining.ban.com/r=gigabit

I see work being done though, so that's a good sign, keep it up Smiley

More options is always giving the miners more control, the more the miner are given control over their mining, the happier they are.

Hope this helps you a bit.

All the best,

-GigaBit

I keep getting this error:

Warning: mysqli_stmt::bind_param(): Number of elements in type definition string doesn't match number of bind variables in /var/www/php-mpos/include/classes/statistics.class.php on line 267

Payout amount is NOT CHANGING!!!

Getting fed up of getting those gay little 0.0000011639 payments every block.

I tried 3 times just now to change it to 0.5 but it's never sticking and still getting little shitty payments.

I work fast, if there are problems, I will make them shinier and more noticeable; you're also gonna get yelled at Smiley

Payments are once per hour and that error lasted a couple of minutes and only related to interface.. settle down. We pay for transaction fees... we don't want anyone keeping any balances in the pool.

Whatever you say, switched my miners to another pool where I can at least set my own thresholds; just like every other pool I ever mined at, just like in the movies.

At least now miners know what they're getting into if they didn't try it out.

Yeah, they pay you using the easiest to exploit system, pay on every stinkin' block so you don't keep a balance... either you like it or not and you cannot control it!!

As an affiliate, I can't promote this product, I'll lose my credibility and as a miner, I can't mine here because of lack of control.

You can add a new node a day but won't do nothing if you won't even listen to miners/FREE testers suggest/advise.

So best of luck to ya but this pool ain't for me.

-GigaBit

Right I going to step in here   gigabit and leap to sorb defense...     And correct a couple lies in the above a)

"At least now miners know what they're getting into if they didn't try it out."

they are all well aware of the payout system on this pool this is an old thread you have bumped  the admin has keep us miners update in both the other thread and every couple day emails not many pool admins do this.....  Also to this you will find in that thread nothing but glowing reports from the miners that are using his pool...

b) "As an affiliate, I can't promote this product, I'll lose my credibility and as a miner, I can't mine here because of lack of control."

sorry you feel this way BUT again there is a lot of happy miners with sorb pool as the other thread shows in fact most are commenting on how their payout match their expected earns day in and out even before the 12.5 bonus is applied....    Now you will very hard pressed to find another pool out there where you can say your rig is earning it expected earn each and every day.....    Sorb is not charging a fee for the pool I do not know of any other PPS paying pool that does this

C)  "Yeah, they pay you using the easiest to exploit system, pay on every stinkin' block so you don't keep a balance... "

To this lmao learn what a PPS payout system is....    OH I can see why you made this comment again you are commenting on an old thread the payout system is no longer prop....    Has not been for a few weeks now....   Sorb changed to a PPLNS there for a while and now in the last week it gone to a PPS   BUT you would of known this if YOU READ ADMIN EMAILS SENT TO YOU    OR READ THE TOP OF THE POOLS STAT PAGE THERE A MESSAGE THERE "  Pardon the dust.. we're actively working on reflecting accurate PPS estimates and payouts..."

Also to the above AGAIN A POOL IS NOT A BANK  and I have to hand it to this admin and the fact he does not want users funds laying around in his wallets....    I throw this question at you what would happen if touch wood it never does the wallet was hacked?Huh    OH that right there would be a lot of upset people chasing sorb of coin now why should he have to bear that when a user has chosen to use the pool as a bank Huh?    I do not blame this admin for this line on paying out as soon as a min point is reached and getting funds to the users to stop the above from happening....  And other admin should take a leaf out of this admin book and refuse to act as a bank

PS just for the record this is the pools new thread has been for a few weeks now and you would of been able to keep up to date by reading it or your emails   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=722202.0

just as a footnote in the time I have been mining at this pool I have seen the hash rate triple from about 500th   to it current of about 1.5 PH  in a few weeks now that shows me that there a number of happy miners as the pool hash rate keeps growing each day also the number of workers keeps going up and every day and that sorb doing nothing but good things for his users as it would not be growing but falling in hash.

It sounds logical and I would have done the same, but the problem is that collecting lots of tiny payments in your wallet gives you a "wallet full of pennies" and you are forced to pay high fees to send those coins elsewhere later. This is because your transactions will be large when they are combined from many tiny amounts. Many people had problems with this after using "get free bitcoins" websites.

I followed instructions Weblogin.WorkerName but I get an error saying must be alphanumeric

right do the following to set up the worker if you have not

ON the pool page on the left go to My account click that <<<<< then my workers......

then where it says Worker Name put a number in for this example I will use 10 (with this only put a number in the input field only)
then a password    I will just use x

Then hit save

Then after you done that do the following steps

In your antminer   put the following to connect to the aussie pool

Pool :   sydney.bitcoindigger.com:3333
worker :     pooluser name.10        so for example lets say my bit talk chat name was also my pool name I would put   fire000.10  or in your case simbot82.10    IF you follow
pw :   x
