Why are you using a random url shorter for that link? This forum doesn't trust stuff like that, change it to the long url.

See now that's a very very good news. So it seems that the NASDAQ is getting on the boat with us. Now these kind of news can create a new era in bitcoin. Now i`m very excited, this could push the price to 10.000$ easily.

Yeah I thought that it was some really very good exposure. I'm kind of surprised it's not been mentioned more on here yet. It seems like it could be a large step forward in legitimising bitcoin as a currency for everyone to use.

It's unfortunate that the failure of Mt. Gox still haunts every bitcoin exchange/trading news article. You can also bet in a bitcoin price run up the key phrase will be something along the lines of "even after the collapse of mt. gox in 2014 interest in bitcoin has continued to increase as seen in the recent..." etc

We are hearing good news about bitcoin every day. The market don't react accordingly. I think what bitcoin is lacking is that the approval from the official government and real life killer applications.

In a year time I expect several investment funds listed on global stock exchanges to start trading BTC. Cause BTC s a commodity, like gold or oil.

The Winklevii is trying to bring the nasdaq money into BTC with Gemini. We can't no longer afford more Mt Gox scandals. We need solid regulation for centralized exchanges, it's the only way to make them safe.

I'd have thought this might serve to stabilise the BTC price a bit as well. I'm sure initially it would increase it though.

All those old clueless guys with a lot of money aren't getting into Bitcoin because simple they don't know how to. Exchanges like the Gemini one serve the service of letting all that old moeny public getting into the BTC game.

I think that this will create additional awareness and exposure to Bitcoin, however it will also make it more centralized. There will probably end up being a few competing ETF's however people will most likely to keep "their" bitcoin stored within the ETF unless they own very large amounts (likely at least $50k worth) of shares of the ETF.
This will add to centralization concerns as well as the potential for negative exposure when (not if) one of the ETF's get hacked and end up loosing their customer's bitcoin)

If bitcoin managed to secure at least half the fund currently trading in nasdaq that would certainly make a whole lot difference to drive the price upwards. While that means fresh fund....But not sure overall is good because that would cause even more volatility

Fact is bitcoin still bropped -4%, so either the news didnt got viral yet or its a bad idea as the nasdaq people will convert bitcoin back to $ and will decrease its price???
