Trying to learn more about the ASICs on the market so I can continue learning to repair them and also design them. I started with a pair of 1.3 MH/s Fury from Zeusminer and have also worked on a Gridseed 80 Chip Blade but I want to know more about how different companies have approached Cryptocurrency mining.

Recently Purchased:
-1.3 MH/s Fury
-5.2 MH/s Gridseed Blade
-30  GH/s BFL Single

Looking for:
Anything not listed above that is below 50 GH/s (SHA-256) / 5 MH/s (Scrypt). Learning about scaling hardware to larger designs is not my end goal.

I'm using these for personal student research and not for mining so please don't give me prices based on the idea that I'm trying to make a profit. I'll also document all of my repairs/work and report them both here and in a few research papers related to my ASIC Design classes I'm taking.

If you decide to PM me then I may choose to copy that PM here. I also buy broken mining hardware.

Thanks!

If you're in Europe I recommend Hamuki:

Use any profit calculator - takes a few seconds to google and input what you're asking.

Does not pertain to my post and is practically spam.

We're going to need a bigger heatsink.

I have a hex4m I'm itching to get rid of. It actually runs at 400GH, but I won't charge anything ridiculous for it because of its low efficiency (1w/gh). I don't have the top heatsinks (those guys fetch a pretty penny). I'm looking for $20 + shipping.

As well, I've got a few 333Mh/s block erupters, a Klondike (although I'm a little partial to it, and it has no fan), and a couple of antminer s1 hashing boards (no controller). Let me know if you're interested in any of it.

Always use escrow. OgNasty is pretty sweet.

Help me out with compiling a list of mining datacenters!

The Klondike was such an interesting piece of equipment - do you have a price you're looking for on that? If so, I may be interested in buying them all as a set.

I already have an S1 to begin looking at after my current project but it isn't quite the hardware I'm interested in. I'll update the above.

To be honest the klondike is the favourite piece I have, so I'll part with it for $50+ship. Yes, its pretty steep, but I haven't seen one floating around for a while and it will be difficult to replace.

If you'd like to buy the whole set, that's good too. I'm located in Ottawa, Canada--I hope shipping won't be prohibitive.

I have some 10Gh Asicminer blades.  They are version 2.  Also have some BFL jalapenos that hash at 8-9Gh.  Bitfury stuff too.  The Black arrow boards.

These are more along the lines of what I'm looking for. Are you willing to let go of all of them?

This is the one you wanted $50 for right? I couldn't justify that price right now.

I could sell you 2 better quality usb sticks.

an ice fury uses a single bitfury chip and a dual fury uses 2 bit fury sticks.  I am usa based.

I run them with bfg miner 4.4

the 1 chip clocks from 1.5 to 2.1

the 2 chip clocks from 3 to 3.8

they fit in a small flat rate

How much are you looking for? I feel like they aren't worth much but they would be fun to tinker with.

I have an Antiminer U3 that just stopped hashing last week after only 3 weeks of operation, might be perfect for your project (it's <50gh at factory volt/freq).  When you plug in power the fan fires up, when you plug in the USB the USB power led comes on, when you start CGminer the mining led flashed on a few times, but then stays dark.  The mining LED should come on and stay on, but it doesn't and cgminer never even recognizes that a device has been plugged in (but it will give an error when you unplug it, which I find strange).

I was going to send it to Bitmain to see if they could repair it, but I'd rather give an independent guy a shot at it.  Let me know what you think, I could sell it to you as is and then buy it back from you if you're able to fix it.

If you want to ship this item to me I will pay the return shipping once it is fixed - if I can't fix it then I'll buy it from you.

Let me know if that sounds reasonable. I wasn't originally looking at a repair service but it's a fun idea.

Great guy to work with and help learn this hardware.  I sent him a broken U3 at my cost. He fixed it no charge, and I ended up selling it to him because I have 2 others and didn't really need it, it has a better home now. Great guy to deal with, very helpful, knows hardware!
