As the title says. I know I'm pretty late to this party, but better to fully learn PGP now than never, eh? What is the best PGP software to use/version/etc.? My computer runs on Windows but I understand I may need to use some sort of Virtual Machine or something. If it helps I don't really fuck around on the Dark Net or anything crazy, but would like to learn the basics for your everyday secure communications. Any help, recommendations, further reading, explanations, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help.

https://gpgtools.org/ for Mac

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

my personal favorite is gpg4usb, it doesn't offer integration with programs but its simple work and easy to use/pick up.  http://www.gpg4usb.org/

Sorry I'm late to respond here guys, I somehow lost track of this topic. Thanks for all of the helpful suggestions though!

Thanks, but I had read up a bit on PGP before and heard that Gpg4Win was not very secure. I guess you could say that about all Windows products though right, so anybody know if there's any basis to that claim?
That's one of the reasons I stated I know I might need to use a Virtual Machine or something.

Thanks for bringing this up, I had heard of it before but had forgotten. I'm definitely going to look into this. Also, I like the fact that I can carry it on a USB and take it with me where I go if needed. Although, I'm thinking I could carry other PGP programs on a USB stick as well? You can tell I'm pretty naive about all this even though I have done some research.
