Hello.  I am sure this has been covered in a different topic, feel free to link me to the appropriate thread.. I have tried finding it.

Why has it suddenly dropped so quickly over the past few days?

Thanks

End of pirate40's  Bitcoin Savings and Trust fund.

Edit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101748.0;topicseen

Mine with your Bitcoins: www.facebook.com/pyramining (always active links)
Exchange all your altcoins on Vircurex (smaller fee from that link)

It wasn't "official" that hes stopping right? Meaning he didnt say it on this forum. I'm not saying he isnt closing up shop, just wondering if all we have to go by is the IRC chat text people have been sourcing to.
Wouldn't it be great if he just did some rumor mongering to force the price down just to buy back lol. people preemptively sell because they suspect pirates clients will sell after the depositors get their money back. I can go on for hours completely unsubstantiated WOOT

sudden drop in bitcoin value price?

FTFY

According to Oscar Wilde, a cynic = a man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Value is prone to subjectivity. Price is a slice in time of perceived value. Lets not split hairs here, it's pedantry. Of course the OP referred to the dramatic recent drop in BTC price.

Value is abstract.  If anyone actually knew this they'd be a fool to tell you.
