v1.0.3 cannot open wallet that is created by v1.0.2

the only solution i know of is sending your coins from the old wallet (created with v1.0.2) to your new wallet (created with v1.0.3).

Will everyone lose their coins if they haven't swapped them to a new wallet by July 15?

i have no idea, i hope not..there are people who might not be able meet the deadline.

A few weeks ago, I had asked for a Dashcoin listing. Poloniex listing is great. C-cex could be fun.  Wink

You don't understand...
They will not add cryptonote coins.
The only other real option is bittrex.
Hitbtc and bter are the other two with cryptonotes, and that's all.

what hinders them from adding cryptonotes?

OP has been updated.

WALLET UPGRADE DEADLINE IS JULY 15.

Community Update #3 - 7/01/15  - SUPPLY REDUCTION

what will happen if you did not meet the deadline? will you lose coins?

Nope. Anyone using the old wallet will see their balance in the old denomination (much coins, such billions).

Its just best that everyone is on the same page to minimize confusion.

ex.: if you send 10000 DSH from wallet 102, you are actually only sending 1 DSH. That's what people with version 103 will see.

Edit: NO ONE WILL LOSE COINS BECAUSE OF THE DENOMINATION UPDATE. (The usual procedures apply: backup your wallet, etc etc)

Does the new wallet have a compiled gui version? If so where can I find it?

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

You're right. I don't understand why C-cex won't add cryptonote coins, while Poloniex and Bittrex will. When I contacted C-cex, I gave them the references they asked for e.g. the urls of this Dashcoin Bitcoin Forum thread and the Dashcoin websites.

I also included a potted history which included the recent Dashcoin vs Darkcoin/Dash controversy. In other words, C-cex would have known that Dashcoin is a cryptonote coin and still went ahead to list it for voting.

So my question is why do you think that C-cex won't add a cryptonote coin?  Smiley

I wish they do.
But it needs work from them. It is not like the other bitcoin clones that they have already.
it's a different infrastructure to have cryptonote coins.

Is the Unofficial downloads with the GUI wallet up to date for the conversion now that is in the OP?

Never mind. Just seen last update was 2014.
