Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I have a question, I sent several transactions on poloniex, they appeared in blockchain explorer but without confirmations, hash: 52dd4d3496f9f71edd1b8ed2e300c6dfec8ce22f911eb7a0afb0ffcc4d55ae70, one of them. What is the problem and how to solve it? I used the following command to transfer them with simplewallet.exe, transfer 6 <Deposit Address> <amount> -p <Payment ID>

You are most likely using an old version. Update to the latest version, reset, and resend. |

since dashcoin is a 100% clone of bytecoin without the premine..might as well crosspost this here.. and another thing..dashcoin network hash as of today is about 30% bigger than bytecoin..about ~900KH for DSH and ~600KH for BCN.. although the emission of DSH right now is bigger.. this still means something Mar 18, 2016 Bytecoin team has updated the development roadmap.
