Also, there is now replay attack protection in Forknote. You can use it to safely send transactions to both chains if you have old wallet.

Usage:

1. Download Forknote - https://github.com/forknote/forknote/releases/tag/2.1.1
2. Use the following config for the Dashcoin (DSH) blockchain - https://github.com/forknote/configs/blob/master/dashcoin.conf
3. Use the following config for the Dashcoin Minergate (DMG) blockchain - https://github.com/forknote/configs/blob/master/dashcoin.minergate.conf

Forknote will force you to mix your coins with outputs after the the fork height, making the transaction invalid on the other chain.

Fyi. I reached out to coingecko and informed them that their total supply listing for dashcoin was incorrect (referenced dashcoin.info total supply information - note dashcoin.info is currently down). They investigated and will make the update in 24 hours

If everyone is in one pool, you can up the pool difficulty getting less coins.

Get the new software and use your old wallet file.
If you are using the gui I am not sure it works, but likely it will work
