 Hello! we are excited to present you geobit, the next generation platform for promoting and advertising with geolocation and bitcoins. How it works? It's an android app that let's you: - Find near promotions that offer you bitcoins to phisically reach other geobit promoters.
- Create promotions to attract geobit users to your place, for example a shop.
Some screenshots: Faqs: - Where is the old web site? It had a design flaw solved with the client application, see next question
- Is this secure/scam? The client app has an integrated deterministic bitcoin wallet (based on bitcoinj) and the passphrase never leave the client device.
- What about Fake GPS? For getting promos you need to get data from the promoter device. This is actually done via qr code scanning. You can't get promotion just based on you position cause it's easily fakeable.
- Is the software open-source? Not yet.

You get merit points when someone likes your post enough to give you some. And for every 2 merit points you receive, you can send 1 merit point to someone else!

that is great idea and congrats for public release i just downloaded that app to my phone to check how it works,
but it is complicated for me to use that.

Congratulations on the first public release Thank you guys, much appreciated! it is complicated for me to use that.
I understand that many thing has to be improved to become easier to use. Could you be more specific about what you find complicated the most? i ve downloaded this app to my phone. i ll try and share my ideas.

Yes, we started in Italy and the first promos are here. Really nice app btw, really stinks there is nothing for the US though. I have played with app and tested all features with no issues. Just nothing more to do beside use it as a map for me since no offers in my area or even remotely close to me since all offers seem to be in Italy. Maybe if I take a trip to Italy then I could use it a little better for testing all features. Thangk for the great app. I hope it success grows. |
