Hey,

I know your a busy man but just wondering if you can post the International Hangout times (From around 19:00 GMT to 22:00 GMT on the 8th) on the CoinFest UK thread just so I can confirm all the times we have are correct.

Piotr Piasecki, who completed his master's degree in Bitcoin, speaks about its future on the 2nd day of CoinFest. At the end, I ask him about his role as an /r/bitcoin moderator, and if it's true what they say about bias and censorship. His answer might surprise you.

CoinFest Ghana has been postponed until next week because the organizer's daughter is in the hospital; we're making an exception to the rule due to the circumstances.

In better news, CoinFest Shanghai is confirmed thanks to BTCC, making them the first to bring CoinFest to China. Please RSVP at http://www.meetup.com/Bitcoin-Shanghai/events/230167933/

Here are the rest of the presentations streamed from CoinFest Vancouver yesterday. We all had a great time, and got drunk & distracted for a little bit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giz-7WXE7ao

CoinFest UK and Switzerland had an awesome time, and the latter is still ongoing. Today features events in the American Midwest and California, with the CoinFest Orange County organizer squaring off in a debate against a Onecoin scam artist. You can watch that, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeEaI7nklsw&feature=youtu.be

Since we had to delay CoinFest Ghana to this Friday due to medical emergency, some activities are still going on. If you boot up your Grabbit app and scroll through the prizes available to fight over, you'll see the CoinFest prize of .2 BTC and also a CoinCard from coincards.ca if you're Canadian.

We also have a Huntercoin challenge today for 20K HUC. The prize goes to the first Hunter to bring the Crown of Fortune to the top-right corner of the map... I'm sure it'll be a heated contest with the equivalent of over $100 US ~ .27 BTC up for grabs.

CoinFest 2016 was quite eventful, indeed. As predicted, CoinFest UK was the epicenter, with Amsterdam also generating a lot of buzz. Other hotspots included Ghana, Shanghai and Bangalore, Washington DC and Switzerland, and eMunie was our greatest sponsor. Due to CoinKite's untimely shutdown and other unforeseen circumstances, however, some of the global activities were reduced in scale.

The silver lining is that this lack of liquidity caused us to have around 2.7 BTC left over, a great starting point from which to fundraise for next year's events. Unfortunately, our short-term Copay wallet comes with a mandatory feature that creates a new HD address for every transaction... this disrupted our Transparency System, but it is now fixed along with other updates to coinfest.org.

Once the Previous Events page is updated and CoinFest 2017 page made live, it will be announced in a new thread ("CoinFest 2017") in this forum. CoinFest also now has a forum of its own so that organizers around the world can have structured conversation and share details about how CoinFest operates and their own local events... check it out at forum.coinfest.org for the most comprehensive information

Awesome! I loved the spirit of CoinFest and am really looking forward to CoinFest 2017! Plans are grand and I hope we can make it an amazing festival.

I want to promote more inter-event activities in 2017 and hoping to get some amazing collaboration happening.

We'll definitely have more inter-event programs... we're at the cutting edge of event management theory, here, so a lot of this hasn't been done before, but I think 2016 was the year we started to get the hang of it. Under optimal conditions (no untimely wallet shutdown or new organizers putting stuff together at the last minute), and with that experience and even more funding, I expect we'll have some amazing decentralized activities
