Lack of user trust.
Lack of trust from exchanges.
De-listing from exchanges.
Loss of value.
And many more.
We estimate the total loss to the founders and owners of the project was around $15,000 USD.
With that said, now it's your turn.
In 96 hours, we will attack IEC. Looking at the depth of the books across exchanges, we estimate we can proft about 20 btc or about $8,000. We also suspect that this will cause a damage to your company in excess of that amount.
If 15 btc are paid to 14G9LzYJXJWHJVHUVdcVwoMQUAc16CKQR2, we will not attack your coin and you will never hear from us again. If not, your coin will be attacked. We will not tell anyone that you paid and we will not return.
Lastly, if you would like proof that we are who we say we are, we can sign a message with the wallets used in the NLG attacks.

After that we immediately decided to check our wallet. We did not find suspicious errors, but nevertheless, we completely revamped the wallet to avoid potential problems!

Now we have made a lot of security corrections. Anyone can check it in our source code.

Maybe it was a stupid joke, But we decided not to risk our reputation and trust of our customers! After creating a new wallet, we secretly updated wallet to v1.6.0.0 on all services.

Now we updated all services except - Bittrex(only trading)Yobit/Blockexperts/Coinpayments - we sent them a request

Damn so many hack/extortion events in such a short time. It could have just been a "spook", someone tested if you would budge (Its never good to pay the extortion money). I hope you got the exchange working as intended, id really like to see if the "silver" and "Gold" coins come back so we could get them.

IMHO one needs a more recent version of autoconf. I bet you are also trying to build on Wheezy?

Yeah! My older wheezy server wouldn't work. I did it on a newer one, ubuntu 15.10 and it did work.

Yeah! My older wheezy server wouldn't work. I did it on a newer one, ubuntu 15.10 and it did work.

Nice to hear, tried on Wheezy and Ubuntu 14.04 without any joy.
Maybe dev will look into it so that we can build it on older versions too. Funny enough latest litecoin sources build just fine on the same boxes/versions.
