On that note... how about upping mine from 30 BTC to 60 BTC?
18TKNbSLTrd3a2W8mtoH5uNzFhWRWNcuHU

Accepted.

Id like to increase my bet to 100 btc

Accepted.

I see the number in your google docs spreadsheet keeps going up Matthew. If you're still taking bets, I would like to increase mine to 500BTC.

Accepted.

If you're still accepting bets (which would be insane!), I'll increase mine to 238.8 BTC.

I will raise mine from 250 to 500 if they are still being taken

(matthew knows whats really going on friday  maybe ?)  Grin

Accepted. (No, I honestly don't.)

A few more solid bets and maybe Matthew can pay off pirate's debt himself? No one in their right mind would take bets after they've already lost. Pirate admitted default today...

As I informed Matthew.....

His bet was for 100% owed including ALL INTEREST etc to EVERYONE. That includes ME.

With me being the last to get paid and threatened to 'pay for it' (for opening my mouth) ...... I don't see how Matthew can win this.

I don't see how Matthew can win this.

I'm beginning to think Matthew can't pay this and knows it so why not just jack the BTC up to whatever?

the largest personal bet so far is 6000 on one of the spreadsheets
AFAIK this is the single largest best on pirate sinking ,even bigger than Vandroiys
which was pretty respectable at 5000

What is it about your psyche that makes you want to adopt highly controversial suspected criminals and defend their actions, even to the point of risking a not insignificant sum of money in defending them?

#568

I ordered back issues of the magazine several weeks ago, where are they?

Were we supposed to be sequential in our numbering?

Is this just a desperate Atlas-like ploy for attention given that Phin's question thread had gone past 128 pages, and you feel like less of man when his is so much bigger than yours?

Damn! Your first mistake this year. You meant image thread.

BTW, how many pizzas can be purchased with five million dollars. (I currently have no proof, no pun intended, that he's the guy, but did learn something)

Couple possibilities here...
1) He's truly crazy.  100% batshit insane.

2) He has insider information making it an unfair bet.

3) He is actually working WITH pirateat40; ie. Pirate withholding payment until matt can extract as many bets as possible.

4) He has no ability and/or no intention to pay if/when he loses and is willing to risk his reputation to make a point that you all have yet again gambled your BTC on craziness.

Nuances aside, I see no other reasonable explanations for still accepting bets.

5) There's a wording loophole in the bet agreement.

In all fairness, I can see this being a joke or lesson, so I think we should just let Matthew off the hook and call it a day.

If the lesson is 'too good to be true'....then consider it lesson learned Wink

I am not betting.

When did bitlane turn into mother teresa?

If we lose we lose, if we win we win. Its not Sept 9th yet. A lot can happen.

Also, if the situation were looking to be in Matt's favor, I wouldn't expect any sympathy.

I am a fucking PRICK. Matthew is just an annoying smartass and invested far more in the community than most of us ever will be.

Is it REALLY worth the risk of tarnishing HIS (maybe-not-so-good) NAME if this all continues to go down the toilet ?

I can clearly see this was now a joke.

I enjoy Matthew. I LOATHE Trendon Shavers.

I would have voted for number 3 myself but since pirate has promised to pay interest
out to the last hour it doesnt stack up
matthew is not going to be able to collect enough in bets to win so save the BTCST  from going under .........i think

number 2 looks tempting also:

FBI land down on friday  with the IRS and arrest everyone and declaim the "money laundering ponzi whatever " to be illegal and order all coins back to their investors  immediately  or everyone goes to jail ...........

I suspect that Matthew's mental condition (due to stress caused by non-stop work, for example) makes him unable to understand the situation correctly. If it's true then all his bets become non-legit. Is there any specialist in psychiatry?

Same.  I was threatened with the scammer tag not once but twice when made my bets.  I knew full well what to expect should I lose and not pay out.

I expect the same should he lose.  It's not my fault he went full retard in the last day and tripled down on Pirate.  We had an agreement and I expect him to stick to it.  I don't care who he is.
