oh my goddnessss.... i saw this and laugh so hard. 1k for 2.5 ths w.o. shipping.... bitmain........ bitmain..... what in da fuxxxxxx am i dreaming or was spondoolies just doing 3 sp20s for 1200$?  maybe a little more i may be a bit off but this is just not making any sense bitmain....... bitmain, we love you... but now i feel as though youre preying on the crazys |

I think the biggest thing that is not something to "rofl" on is they broke the chain of only releasing 110/120 volt products.
In future releases this could be huge. I predict S7,S9.... etc to be 110 products where anywhere a hobby miner can use. But having option on S6,S8, etc of 240 allows for much bigger miners. (This assumes numbering stays the same).
But I could be wrong just a guess at this point.

It doesn't help when you have people being paid to push the product like it has value beyond being a money printing machine. The fact it can run more efficiently, quieter etc is dressing these pigs up. If you don't have vast amounts of cheap electricity and buying power in the millions you are not going to recoup your investment in anything sold these days. Avoid it. There a few names that keep popping up over and over and over again in these threads marketing as hard as they can for some of these fabricators. It is pretty obvious where there BIAS leans. |

OR have limited rack space, VERY cheap power and are somewhat lazy. then buy sp3x! not bitmain! only can get them (sp30-31) used. There is not much gear around new. Bitmaintech s-5, s-4+ Avalon 4.1 all of the above are costly . S-5 is actually the best deal if sound is not important and price rules all. And if silence is golden the avalon 4.1 is best. My power jumps to 17-18 cents In about 30-40 days. None of the above are worth buying at my power cost. I am waiting on a few USB sticks from gekkoscience and may mine with them in the summer. |

The s-5 mods well for about 20 bucks. a pair of delta fans in a push pull will drop sound from 75db to 55db so you can run 1150gh for 410 with shipping. using .51 watts a gh |

Companies that have good trust are bought from without issue. The problem is when a new company comes around. There have been so many scam companies. That companies are "guilty till proven innocent". I wont go farther offtopic. Obviously Bitmain is one of the trusted mining companies. |

S3's are like tanks and will keep on mining for a long time. Those with "free" and very cheap electricity really should look into used gear. |
