Hey, I got my coins today! They look great & better than I had expected, and I'm very happy to have some of Finite by Design's coins finally because I previously had none. Thanks OP, fast shipping and everything made it here in fine condition. The provided flips are nice & soft and the hologram looks easy to pull off how you have it taped. I'm busy as hell today or I would snap some pictures to post.

My coins are still stuck at customs, guess it'll be another hefty VAT "fine" to get them delivered to my home...sigh.

Yep, mine are about to hit UK customs as well. I fear the same 'ransom note' coming from the UK VAT man.

When I get packages sent overseas to me in the US, my stuff seems to stay stuck in customs for up to a month.  Thankfully there's no VAT or fees to pay.

A month? oh dear...Usually takes a few days here, but until the mail man rings at the door, you never know if there is VAT to be paid.

If something is sent Express, then its usually 1-2 days in customs.  But if sent a slower method, it can takes weeks to a month stuck there.  Often it takes a month to receive the item.

I have heard of VAT, but never understood.
I used to think it was something like COD...but seemingly, the items are paid for and the government was to charge you more??
What do they base this on??
I know for certain customs forms/countries if item is listed as a gift rather than merchandise they give different VAT rates?? Huh?

Do we not pay them here in US because of NAFTA??? or something similar??

I apologize for the UK/Europe customers.... Sad

Let me know if I can help. Smiley

VAT is a retarded system. They invented it to potentially charge you a fee for buying things from outside your region and not supporting local economies.

The minimum fee is about 15 EUR if VAT is charged, the maximum fee depends on the item value.

Items labelled as a gift usually get through without a hitch. If the item value on the package is US$22 or less, they can not charge VAT (technically speaking).

Have never received a coin from outside EU without paying VAT, so it's a risk I will take regardless.  Hope it gets resolved quickly lol Smiley

Yeah, fuck VAT taxes, I always feel sorry for you EU guys...  just another way the gov. can strong-arm you for some more of your money. That is definitely a nice thing about living in the US, no VAT, which I am grateful for. I agree with bithalo though regular packages will literally just sit at customs and other locations for days-weeks, for seemingly no reason. Ha, one time bhcoins sent me some coins from Argentina and they made it to the US, cleared through customs (after a week), then got sent to a Post Office near my state, Then got shipped Back to Argentina (wtf), then when it reached Argentina at the Post Office they were like (Lol wtf?) and returned it. Finally got it weeks and weeks after I bought them but it wasn't bhcoins' fault.

Anyways, I've said this before but I'll say it again- there really needs to be a "Bitcoin" of the international shipping world. A much cheaper and more efficient solution.

Anyways, I snapped a few pictures of the coins the other day and finally got around to uploading them. Here they are, great coins, I really like them! And they are some pretty thick boys too, hefty.

Download a template online to print 3/4" rounds. Fill one of them with your private key and print - make sure it is a legible font before you insert. Then cut out the circle - you can purchase a 3/4" hole punch for a few dollars at a craft store for a clean perfect circle cut. Then insert the paper with private key printed (face down) and cover with the hologram. Walla.

Ether is unreleased as far as I know. There was a sale period that completed last year and the data from your purchase can be inserted as your private key (if you bought any).
