After some research on my own I figured out what he does.

I deposited 1000 btc as a test, will tell you how that goes Smiley

Anyone could tell how he does it if they only took a few minutes to think about it.

Yokosan and I have both spent some time on the bitcointalk forum and I believe he might be exercising some of the same practices I have, just on a much larger scale.

+1

you guys are a freaking riot.

For the record. This started a joke and I didn't expect it to escalate this far but people actually sent me Bitcoins (the first honest thing I have said in this whole thread).

I have refunded all bitcoins to those that "opened an account".

wtf

You are talking at plural and the minumun deposit was 200BTC.
So you did at worst 4000$ in one fucking day.

Reflect guys.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

I was convinced people actually sent him 18,000 bitcoins. Now I feel like an idiot, but relieved.

I had a feeling that someone, even knowing that it was a joke, might believe it was also a ponzi scheme and would want to get in early.

Greed trumps logic more often than one would expect.

Still around.

I didn't really deposit anything, and I didn't think anyone else was sending anything. I thought everyone "got the joke." Now I feel bad.

This thread makes me want to reconsider being honest (not really). But is it really this easy to scam here?? I want to know how many bicoins he received.

I totally should have put "jk" somewhere in my post, that was foolish of me.

He's just scamming you about bitcoins people sent him. He's playing a long con - building up trust slowly so he can really make off with the big wads of coin at some point Wink

I really hope people sent 1 BTC for the laugh (I considered doing it myself)... if someone really opened a 200BTC account my faith in humanity is more lost than Pirate's BTC.
