**Kansas City Unmanaged Dedicated Servers**
Joe's Datacenter is proud to announce that we now take BTCbitcoinBTC. There is a "pay with bitcoin" link on every invoice sent out. The bitcoin price is based on the daily average so its fair for both of us and your paying in bitcoin exactly what are services are worth in US as of the last 24 hours. With all of our dedicated servers we do hardware tests on them before deployment. We do not let a server go online until it has had a memory test, hard drive SMART test, and visual inspection. We also make sure all drives are wiped before we re-use them. As always free setup on all dedicated servers.  We pride ourselves on our reputation for excellence while keeping our prices competitive.

Check out our offers

Good news, another business accepting bitcoin. Have you made a press release? It'll help you're cause and put bitcoin on the radar of anyone who reads it.

**Kansas City Unmanaged Dedicated Servers**

I added JOE'S to the Bitcoin trade page.

I wasn't sure what to enter for the Tor-friendly.  I'm assuming that should be "Yes" but didn't want to enter possibly invalid information:

Allow me to ask the question directly: Joe, how close are you to Josh's data center (Josh with Butterfly Labs)?

Also, it seems your about page has a couple anomalies, namely your name is spelled incorrectly and I'm not sure what to make of the Doublemint Twins.

Seeing that you'll been online for many of years (moccp.com & http://www.bizapedia.com/mo/CERTIFIED-COMPUTER-PROFESSIONALS-LLC.html), I don't see how you could have missed the incorrect spelling of your own name and surely Diana and/or Jordan would have bought up the image issue a long time ago, unless...

In our data-centers camera's are banned, its considered a serious security issue. Now I think about It I have never been to a DC that allows cameras or food/drink, its like rule #1.

Surprised you have public camera's available to view your DC, like to know how it works out for you.

Joe, your links are broken. Remove the quotation marks(") around the URL's as those aren't used on BBcode. I know you must be used to HTML, but BBcode ain't HTML Wink

Just read this:

Quote
Internet advocacy group Connecting for Good Inc. is buying bandwidth from Joe’s Datacenter LLC in Kansas City, Mo., to provide the Wi-Fi network, which is free to roughly 500 people living in Rosedale Ridge.

Kansas City nonprofit launches free Wi-Fi for low income housing
by Alyson Raletz, Reporter
 - http://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/blog/2012/12/kansas-city-nonprofit-launches-free.html

They got a little help getting online with the help of the Free Network Foundation, a non-profit from Kansas City, which uses JOE'S datacenter for colocation of equipment and serves as the primary link for the non-profit's mesh network transmitting atop the building where JOE'S is located.

Retail merchants with physical locations that might wish to accept bitcoin have challenges with connectivity.  Not only must the equipment their staff uses be able to get internet access -- relying on the customer to have data service as well (e.g., for access to an EWallet) reduces the chances of being able to successfully transact with bitcoin.

This is true especially indoors where mobile phone network 3G or 4G data signals are not very strong.  But it is also true for users who wish to use a device that doesn't have data service (e.g., Wi-Fi only iPads, Android tablets, iPod touch, or the $60 Android devices that are now sold in many parts of the world even.).

So flooding an accessible Wi-Fi signal throughout neighborhoods and commercial districts lets those areas become good candidates for where Bitcoin can become widely adapted with little required of the merchants other than a tablet for use as a point-of-sale device.

If there was one place a U.S. equivalent of Berlin's "Bitcoin Kiez" should emerge, Kansas City might be it.

It's good to see Bitcoin already having a part here though with JOE'S Datacenter and The Free Network Foundation both supporting Bitcoin:

During the order process you will be sent and invoice that has a link to pay with bitcoin. Price in bitcoin is converted at time of paying the invoice based on daily average.

Really nice to see dedicated servers and colocation for Bitcoin! I may have to send a server to you guys one day :-).

But yeah, the links are pretty broken. Should be something more like these:

JOES was in online media again today, though not by name:

Mesh networks can also connect to the wider commercial internet, which KC Freedom Network does right now through a central access point — a commercial data center downtown, which is housed in one of the city’s tallest buildings called Oak Tower, providing ample opportunity to beam the bits around town using a microwave transmitter.

Some people just have something better to do than to read random forum comments.
I'm a customer and Joe's never left me hanging when I used their support channels the way they're supposed to be used. YMMV, ofcourse. Wink

Hello!

Thiago

I've got miners at Joe's BitcoinColo/kcmocolo and I'm concerned, too.  I opened a ticket over 4 days ago and not had a reply yet.  I called their phone number and it's just a recording telling you to email sales or support, and no option to leave a voicemail anymore.  And when you email them, it just opens another ticket that goes unanswered.

I'm trying to get in contact with them because my invoice is now past due (it wasn't when I opened the ticket) and their BitPay facility seems to be broken (not on BitPay's side).  You get some errors from "support.joesdatacenter.com" and then a $0.00 USD BitPay invoice when you try to pay with bitcoin.

I hope everything's ok.
