Hey I would like to know why my activity hasn't changed from when I had a post count of like 12 from now when I have around 70.

In addition I have been logged in for 1 day, 2 hours and 18 mins and I see people who haven't been logged in for as long have a higher activity rating than I do

Belongs in Meta.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Rough summary of what this means: If you post once per day on average, then you will eventually get the maximum number of activity points that you can get. Posting more than once per day on average is useless for increasing activity. The maximum number of activity points you can get is 1 per day, but your activity score only updates every two weeks. Therefore, it will take about 100 days to get 100 activity if you post once per day on average.

The next activity change/update will be on this Tuesday 12th May (most probably). Check it then.

We need some hyperlinks under profile that explain these things. I have seen this question asked probably 100 times since I have been here.

Profile -> Quick Answers/Whatever it gets named ->

how trust works
how activity is calculated
how to upload pictures
etc...

[] I have seen this question asked probably 100 times since I have been here.

The reason repetitive, stupid questions are so common is because people are paid to ask them.
If you see an account with less than three coins asking such a question, odds are the account is being farmed for eventual sale.
If you see an account with a signature ad asking such questions, it's because signature ads typically pay by the post.

In other words, the apparent helplessness & cluelessness of this forum's users is just an illusion - they're simply using this forum to scratch out some extra cash.
Money is a great motivator, no matter how paltry the amount.
