It was only about 5 blocks, and he'd been talking the whole time. I'm hoping he actually understood me when I told him where we (my wife and daughter and I) want to go.
About a block from the restaurant, he said something into the phone that caught my attention.

Come to think of it, you should run back there...like...NOW. I am almost certain Pirate is being attacked and troll'd by UNREASONABLE PEOPLE and could use your protection of his good name. I'd just like to point out that posting personal threats (even if deliberately vague) is a criminal offense in pretty much every developed country. Even if the threats are done via an alleged third party 'someone said that they might do X....'

When I said 'you' above, I was referring to a 3rd party in general, not actually you the person. I'll restate what I said above to be more precise: "That's just it.. if pirate's not in the channel, a person bitching there just ends up making everyone else read it. How is that helping anything?" I haven't changed my ip, afaik it remains fairly stable. As to my irc network connection, I use SASL, which is the preferred way of connecting because it auth's you to the network on connecting and it prevents MITM scenarios between the client machine and the irc server. The TX server is only a coincidence, as I use chat.freenode.net and the dns RR picked that. I'm sure the next time I ping out, it will be different. |

Well, like I said, I'm away from home on vacation, but this morning my encounter with the cabbie occurred exactly as I described it above.
Yes, this is an alternate account, because I really don't wish to discuss the pirate situation on a daily basis. I'm really just ready for it to all go away so bitcoin can move on.
