When Bitcoin will be accepted at OPEC.

This  Grin

Forget about supermarket, bitcoin does not bring you any good in buying a bottle of milk, just like you can not buy milk with stocks and options. Judging from the market today, bitcoin is mostly used for high value transactions. In future, it will be used for virtual product purchasing or international whole sale, and invested by pension fund, social security fund etc... The built-in design of supply decrease guaranteed a long term appreciation potential, thus make it a very good diversification in the portfolio of any institution

When it starts having a greater presence outside of the USA... Bitcoin has great potential for worldwide transactions yet it's not known in mnay countries. How would it's future be secure if only a handfull of countries were using it extensively? I believe that a tronger presence worldwide would secure it from declining.

I'm leaning towards a certain type of legislation as the catalyst. Thinking along the lines of paying taxes with it. Goodbye fiat!

Right now, for example, I think that bitcoin value is growing much too fast to be sustainable. I don’t have any hard data to back that up, it’s just a gut feeling.

When the waiter asks me, "Card, cash or Bitcoin?"
At this moment Bitcoin is a small online payment method, with only 150 000 merchants accepting it around the world. I would feel a lot better, when I see a "Bitcoin accepted here" sticker in every store and super market.
It would also help, if I could pay for gas with Bitcoin. ^grin

Well I would say if one day after I completed shopping in the mall and I'm about to walk over to the counter to make the payment, customers would just take out their phone and then swipe and then they are off. I supposed if I see that, it means bitcoin is already globally and there shouldn't be any doubt about its future and acceptance.

Not to be confused with ApplePay or NFC payment options, I guess? The other day I saw for the first time one of these new "card readers", funnily enough they were using it at a second-hand store.

that was true up until the last big pump, now we are holding back a little, one can say that this is good for determine if bitcoin is established in this position or not

it depend how bitcoin arrive there, if the price is still bad then the only thing that would be assured is its no-future

Future of bitcoin is unrelated with you getting rich. With a big volumes of instant fiat-btc-fiat transactions, bitcoin could be a great way to transfer money, and you will definetly not need much btc (so price could stay low) because transactions are instant.
