Up to 200% interest? This is not interest - its hyper inflation. I think it's a very bad decision!

It looks like from the source the stake weight required to support 200% interest is pretty much impossible based on our past network weight.

I've been here since the beginning & our average stake weight will now equate to roughly 50-70%

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

It seems that virustotal report shows 1 malware, which I have never met before. Strange thing is that after I did some research, it seems that Greed coin has the exact same issue. And they too updated their wallets just recently. I am not going to install it until the dev says something and explain that up to 200% interest with more details.

Please feel free to compile the wallet yourself.

Changes made to the source:

https://github.com/M1xProject/M1Project/commit/9aab929beb06e5874467f3ef566c2e07f82a8db1

Due the the low coin supply, maintaining a healthy network stake weight required incentivizing the community with a greater interest rate.

Additionally, sp00lin9's statement is correct. The likelihood of the network interest rate reaching 200% is slim.

I'm for the idea, more staking = better chain!  Cool

Please feel free to compile the wallet yourself.

I'm not trying to start a fight or such, but this is extremely bad answer my friend.
What if I don't want or I can't compile the wallet?
What if I want to go and pay for a restaurant instead preparing the meal for myself?
This project is yours, not mine. You are the one who must fix this - not me.

How? By telling them to compile the wallet for themselves? How is that scenario sounds to you:
- Hey, please download the new wallet with virus (we are not talking if it is false positive - that's not the case) in it and keep your $100 in there to support the network. You will be paid greatly.

Believe it or not this is exactly the same thing you are now saying to people and more important - your "investors".

The project is solid and there is absolutely nothing that needs to be fixed, it is a false positive.

The "virus" you are referring too was flagged on virustotal by a no-name company called VBA32. When far more reputable companies like AVG, Bitdefender, ESET-NOD32, Kaspersky, McAfee, etc all deem the wallet perfectly safe to use, you are exaggerating about a false positive from VBA32, a company out of a closet in Belarus.

I agree, false positive.

I have a dedicated staking machine with few programs so I was able to scan it & Norton found nothing Smiley

... you are exaggerating about a false positive from VBA32, a company out of a closet in Belarus.

I am not exaggerating at all. Sometimes companies "out of the closet" in Belarus (what do you mean by naming their origin?).

Probably your and SIX3P0's (the guy clearly said that he is no expert) are well known experts in antivirus comapnies fields.

I clearly said that I don't want to start any fight and I think my question was valid, but I didn't liked the answer of the dev. Therefore I will refrain from future comments in that thread and in the mean time my coins will be moved to Bittrex.

Good luck.

Ah...thats a shame as we clearly need more serious investors staking and being involved.

It happened to me the other day when i transferred coins into my wallet. I am not a technical guy but i think your coins have not been added yet to the chain thats why they are not showing up on the expolorer so you have nothing to worry about.

v1.2.2.0 Wallet Update

GUI Update + Multi-Tab Social and Exchange Revamp

Getting everything squared away before releasing the beta for the Built-In TradeBot.
Please check out the new thread and stay tuned for our exciting updates as well!

this will be great  Smiley exactly what a real day traders need. u guys should put some kind of collateral needed to run bot like let say 100 M1 coins in the wallet reserved for bot to function.. that would have positive impact on market and put some buying pressure onto M1. anyway I'm real excited to get my hands onto beta version, any ETA when its gonna be released? thanks
