You can also use the code on the holo to determine the public address for the coin and check to see if they are funded.

These coins are funded and obviously in excellent shape! - If they were peeled I would make that fact very obvious.

Watch out for fake Blazedout419's trying to post and trick you!

Nice coins. I struggle with your valuations.

You're pricing the error coin at 6x face value?!? You realize that it's the most second common coin issued by Mike, right? Over 5,000 of these error coins remain funded (of a 6,000 mintage).

And the "tenth" coin is going for 15x face value? I guess I see your rationale for the higher valuation, because only 800 where minted, but 15x is way too much.

I look forward to seeing what these coins go for. My opinion is only my own but I believe the rationale on some of the offer prices for these coins are just insane and, worse, without logic. I think it's an important discussion for us all to have.

I can answer that one...
Firstly, mintage of the Bitcoin tenth is low as you've already said.
Those that have gotten their coins graded haven't received high grades and an MS-66 is considered high for this specific coin.
Most average MS-64/65. Because there aren't many of them with this grade I guess it's more of a seller's market wither regards to determining the price.

Cant speak for the error coin but if you find a casas tenth below 1 BTC please let me know.  Would buy em at that price point all day.  1.55 btc is not too far fetch.  They have been selling in and around there for awhile now.

2011 error coins always command a large premium for a few reasons: they were the first coins, they had an error holograms, and most were handled when purchased. It is extremely hard to find a clean non handled 2011 error coin. Most of them have graded low and MS-66 is really nice (Look how clean that coin is). I can give you a break down of premiums if you like or you can search for past sales.

Thanks! It is amazing the difference with this MS-66 compared to others I am surprised it is not an MS-67.

I should toss up a picture of it next to a 65 to show the amazing diff between the 2..

Who started all this nonsense with x times the face value?
The premium of a coin in uncorrelated with the face value.

Trying to take a picture of it next to other brass coins. It is one of the cleaner coins of the 2011 - 2013's I have, but pictures are so hard to get with multiple coins  Huh

Why should the tenth be 15 times more expensive than other coins with similar mintage? Just because people want that much doesn't mean people should be paying it. I bought my tenth for BTC0.71.

If we want fair prices we have to agree to only give fair bids and only accept fair offers.
