Are you sure that Thomas Holzinger is really behind both businesses, and not just an owner/worker in a PR firm that both businesses hired? For instance maybe part of the services they offer is registering domains and hosting websites? Just wondering out loud...

Thomas Holzinger is the general manager of NEFT for Europe and a good friend of mine...he has nothing to do with the BitcoinCard as my understanding.

It's possible he has registered domain names, but it probably means he works with the same people, like I said similar business interests.

Oh, neither of those guys in the picture is Thomas, I've never seen those guys before.

I fucked up again! No excuses and I wasn't tired. There's only 11 Thomas Holzinger on Lindedin, and I thought for sure I had the right one.

Once again, I suspect nothing nefarious in regard to either BitcoinCard or NeftVodka, and deeply admire both concerns, along with you (Charlie), Erik and Roger.

That said, I am even more curious as to whom this Thomas Holzinger guy is, for now I've (re)found this...

Regardless of the device, we thoroughly enjoyed meeting Alex Squared and the rest of the European Bitcoiners who were there. It’s hard to quantify how fulfilling and exciting it is to meet up with people from all over the world who are as passionate as we are about this monetary revolution. And damn, some of these people are just brilliant, which doesn’t hurt. I know myself, Charlie, and Roger consider Alex and Alex wonderful new friends – they were kind, witty, inquisitive, and extremely generous (Russian Alex loaded us up with 24 bottles of his Russian vodka brand, Neft, which was a challenge to bring back through the airport). Personally, I consider them both strong allies and assets of the Bitcoin community.

Therefore, if I'm reading the above (and full linked post) correctly, two guys named Alex operate BitcoinCard.org, with one Alex (the Russian one) owns Neft Vodka.

For the life of me, I can't see how Thomas Holzinger's name can be attached to either entity with the exception that that's the name both companies are registered under.

There are 2 Alex's. One is full time on the BitcoinCard and friends with the other Alex who runs NEFT with Tom.

Alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, or liquor) are not considered hazardous but can’t go in the mail. If you’re reusing a box displaying their alcohol brands, all logos and labels need to be covered up.

I'm not even to going to look to see who received the vodka, let alone ask who sent it and how was it transported.

This does give me an idea though. Does anybody here have some extra 'hemp' laying around that can be sent to Pirate's home? At the expected time of delivery, inform the P.O. (anonymously) that this guy is receiving drugs through the mail and selling them to your 7th grade daughter.

I guess that makes sense. If it was legal the taxes would on importing product would be ridiculously high.

As far as I can tell, mailing booze is bad, but causing booze to be sent to you from overseas isn't a big deal.

As in, you are liable for the import duty, which is under $1.00/litre, and (worse) if they notice that it is booze, they'll halt it wherever it is and give you the option of abandonment or having another (non-USPS) carrier pick it up and finish delivery.  $$$

Hmm. I want to buy some when it comes to the US, but doubt it could be purchased in my state with Bitcoin and I don't think that it would be legal to have it shipped here.
