We need big whales such as NASDAQ getting interested and implementing the technology (which in return benefit Bitcoin). This will create a surge of the price eventually, which will put BTC on mainstream news again, only this time the services will be better and more developed. It will still take time.

Education . Most people should dont know about the cryptoworld. In some developing countries like my country, bitcoin is view as a play token because people just dont understand that there is another currency and not just fiat. Also that most people that know cryptoworld is fillled with illegal thing and that should be edcuated as well

it's simple really, you need to raise the price, and don't say the price does not matter because otherwise there would not be all these thread about adoption, mainstream, bitcoin need this need that and whatsoever....

to do this in fastest way possible without raising a fake pump, you need big whales playing with the market and moving the price up slowly, by establishing everytime a new floor

I agree, high prices give the mainstream more attentions and exposures, btc will be known more and more people, that's the good circulation.  High price - more investors buy btc - more people know and use - governments accept btc.

Moreover, we need more banks to use btc, because btc has advantages on remittance, international trasnfer, it is much faster, cheaper and safer than bank system.

Overall, you guys don't worry about the price now, just focus on telling your friends bitcoin, if more and more people are trying to know and buy&use btc as a payment way, the price must go to da moon.

Why would a person jump through hoops (ID verify, bank transfers, etc.) to buy bitcoin so he can make purchases at a limited number of places, while now needing to keep an accounting for the IRS, when he could have already purchased those same things with the debit card in his wallet, and without the additional burden of tax record keeping?

It needs a small amount of regulation for the banks and big business to feel safe enough to invest a decent amount of funds into. Exchanges need the regulation for new whales to feel safe buying and selling very large amounts. It needs us the community to do all we can in our own local area to promote bitcoin to the people who we believe will know its power and increase our crypto team. If the above is done which the UK is in the process of doing then I imagine that with the more money flooding in the higher the price, the more of them kinds of whale the less negative publicity and a lot more positive because after all media is owned by...

We need to move away from centralised exchanges, which usually just generate negative headlines for crypto.  Fortunately history has just been made and decentralised trades will soon be possible.  Qora and Burst (go buy them now) can now trade directly from one blockchain to another without using and intermediary coin or third party.  It's a little soon to add this feature to Bitcoin, since it's still relatively new and experimental.  But once it's proven stable, and more people start to get involved with Bitcoin and other alts, there are no more middlemen once you're out of fiat.

I get what you mean, the process of buying, keeping it safe and finding places to actually spend it not easy for someone who doesn't have the general knowledge about cryptos and he might not even bother to do it because he finds the other alternatives easy.

To us it all may seem easy, finding an exchange, cold storage, ways to buy anything with bitcoins by using middle man services, trader etc. but for an average joe it may seem like a hassle and he would go for something simpler even if it costs him a bit more.

If people invested in gold, only sell 25% of their investment and they re-invested it into Bitcoin, the price would skyrocket. The high price will not be artificially hyped, like with the Willy bot fiasko and people would take it seriously.

We have seen a huge surge in Google searches for "Bitcoin" when the price is high... So the price does influence the demand.

We also need a killer APP to make it go mainstream... {Target the young people, and the older people will follow}

The most important "Need" ----> Proper education on Bitcoin basics. {When people understand the concept, they would accept it}

this because the adoption isn't big enough yet, when you will get payed in bitcoin at your local job and every shops will accept it, you will not need to go through all those hassles to use bitcoin

You dont need to raise the price because it is not everything about the price. It is more about mass adoption because if you think that if the price raise than it will raise the adoption then you are wrong because the price raising will not attract people for adoption, it will attract more traders to dump it for profit

There are already lot of debates about blockchain and its benefit and usage.I think in next 10-15 years we will be using crypto/digital currencies for everyday buying/selling.We will see huge adoption in coming years.

That's right. Education is crucial. Would you use something when you don't know what it is and how it works? Don't think so.

With all the bad news from banks and certain countries people are looking for different options to pay and store money. Give it time.

Mass adoption is what it needs, but as others stated above, people don't know about Bitcoin.
