Hello everyone. I would like to announce that we will be re-branding xRadon into Radium for our Beta launch. This will mean that things will be more streamlined, we will have lower block rewards, and we will have larger maximum block sizes. A decrease in block reward will be compensated for by Radium decay into the Radon asset. Feedback is appreciated, and any suggestions will be taken into consideration.
Best regards, -TM2013
This sounds very good! I am almost done with the explorer.. (what a .... that was ) I will keep you updated

could you go into a bit more detail about the "A decrease in block reward will be compensated for by Radium decay into the Radon asset." part? i dont really understand what this is saying..

could you go into a bit more detail about the "A decrease in block reward will be compensated for by Radium decay into the Radon asset." part? i dont really understand what this is saying.. xRadon is being re-branded to Radium. Radium decay is the process of partaking in proof of network contribution to receive the asset Radon. Proof of network contribution is the process where by contributing a certain number of miner fees within a certain period of time, burning a certain number of coins, and contributing a small developer fee, you are rewarded with the Radon asset. If the block reward were to be dropped to 1 coin per block, only 2-3 individuals would need to be decaying Radium in order to return to the current 5 coins per block. With Radium decay implemented, we can easily see the block reward going higher than it is currently, while maintaining an extremely low rate of inflation. In that respect, we could even see block rewards go to zero, and there still be a heavy incentive to stake your coins. The Radon supply is controlled by the hard coded rate of Radium decay, as well as the function of Radon as a consumable digital commodity, being needed to perform a majority of the functions on the network. Best regards, -TM2013

Hello everyone, just a quick update. The rebranding process from xRadon into Radium has begun. You can follow the progress, or contribute to development here.As a reminder, don't be shy to sign up for our Slack channel. We are most active there, and will answer any of your questions! We will be having discussions regarding the coming specification changes in the Slack channel, so we encourage as many people as possible to engage in the dialogue. Have a wonderful remainder of your holidays, everyone. Best regards, -TM2013

I would like to ask what the community thinks would be a good limit on the number of coins. Personally, I would like to limit the supply at only slightly more than 2.5 million. That would imply a fork in less than 5 days. If we fork in 10 days, we will have a supply sitting at near 2.6 million. All input into the matter is welcome.

Im to lazy to do the math right now, but for now I think we should speed up the reduction in the block rewards. In the most extreme case, i I would propose a transition to 1 xRADON block reward over the next month or months. Anything more drastic than that should be put off till later.

2.5M is a good number.

so ive been testing the Radium(cool!) "SuperNet" that jj12880 has been working on for quite some time..this thing is so cool..he figured out a way to have a blockchain “decay” the coin through PoNC(proof of network contribution)…into an asset that can then be spent to encode data into the blockchain and EASILY...
its like what Blur was supposed to be for crave except you can actually DO something with it...and i have a feeling as the system is expanded lots of other cool things will be able to be done with it.

i also think this is probably a good idea...hard capping the coin supply right now might not be the best idea...id say reduce it to 1 coin per block until there is enough going on with the SuperNet(unsure if this is gonna be its final name) to support staking rewards...

another reason why we cant hard limit the number of Radium is because through the smart transaction system and supernet stuff...some radium is burned in the process..thus reducing the number of coins in circulation...i think it would be a good idea to allow for a slight inflation to cover lost coins...you may say that you would want a deflationary coin until maybe someday in the future there are no more coins available...i know this would take a LONG time and probably be pretty much impossible..but its good to keep an avenue for some supply generation

After all considered proposals, I think it would be best to fork in about 10,000 blocks to decrease the reward by 10% per day until 1 coin per block. From that point, the decay functions should be able to sustain the network.

This project gets more and more interesting as time goes on. We have been in from beginning, and is increasing our holdings in XRDN atm, when we reach our base target, we will offer our stakes for sale in our OTC Direct Trade solutions. AND, until we have reached our target, you can also buy our other stakes now and pay with XRDN, this will also give a 5% discount compared to market prices.
Happy to be part of this community, and exited to see where things lead us in the future. Happy staking!

Hi everyone! I have some exciting news! The first phase of the xRADON Supernet is in final private testing, and if all goes well, Ill open it up to Beta for those in the slack group. There have been no issues so far, besides some small GUI bugs, so I don't anticipate a long Beta period. Hopefully only a day or two. For those wondering what exactly IS the xRADON Supernet, I also finished a Wiki page that has most of the relevant details. https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/XRADON_SupernetI Will start a new thread with a dedicated ANN for the Supernet when it is out of beta, but for now, if there are any questions, suggestions, etc message me on slack, to keep the main xRADON thread a little less cluttered.

Hi,

I have 6 connections, so heres 7 nodes: in the config add nodes: addnode=68.184.180.69 addnode=104.156.228.193 addnode=72.65.126.203 addnode=98.235.220.249 addnode=85.25.198.151 addnode=198.199.95.130 addnode=194.135.93.51 adding listen to the conf can be helpful too. or in the console one line at a time: addnode 68.184.180.69 add addnode 104.156.228.193 add addnode 72.65.126.203 add addnode 98.235.220.249 add addnode 85.25.198.151 add addnode 198.199.95.130 add addnode 194.135.93.51 add

a side question... *burning* is a neat way to transfer all funds from one *dying* currency to another?
Not when done like this Look at the burning as adding fuel to the infrastructure of services in the Supernet... Quite clever when you "get" it how it could work. IW
