I am considering to join for some weeks now. I am intrigued that macsga seems on board too and after all you are both Greeks. But to be honest i am not sure if it is rational to throw 200 dollars in something i have no idea what it is. Oh well i will think about it some more...

Be rest assured that I'm -slowly-but-surely- driving everyone crazy in there... Klee's subscribers can confirm my claims Tongue

BTC broke an important support in this dump.
If we break 2600 things are getting worrying for BTC.

BTCChina:

Last line of defence for the bulls is 2425-2470. Below that we are in full bear mode.

If we hold the above prices, practically we will bounce up above 2500, if we fall more this will not be possible. So we will start looking at 2225-2000.
(Pretty straight forward if you think about it, important milestones are every 500cny, then 250 etc. So 3000 failed, then 2750, then next support is 2500.)

Problem with 2000 is that IMO it will not hold again. But this is just my interpretation.

CryptXO mentioned in the end of this article:

https://bitcoinnewsmagazine.com/ether-pump-and-dump-how-to-trade-lesson-1

"If all this information seems a bit overwhelming there are trading groups you can join for buy and sell signals while you are learning. You will also learn a lot from your fellow traders in the group. Trading groups that are worthwhile are not going to be free so expect to pay about $200 per year.

Because Point and Figure charting works so well with cryptocurrencies I recommend you consider joining the CryptXO trading group on Slack. It is run by a Point and Figure expert who goes by the handle klee and you can also find me on the Slack team as allegro. The advantage of joining a group is you will be getting good entry and exit points on bitcoin and other altcoin trades while you are still learning."

Trend is BEAR...

There will be no bear trend. There will be stagnation between 400-420 USD for some weeks.

Technically, for a certain chart I use, we are in bear trend.

Other charts (more long term) still bullish but I don't think that the halving alone is enough to reverse the trend back up from 450-500.

Actually, it may was already priced in from 240 to 500 and it can create (combined with a bear market) a severe negative feedback loop for BTC.

I want to remind everyone that BTC follows exponential trend in changes....

You are hardwired in your brain not to see exponential changes until it is too late.

Sometimes a Fibonacci is all you need:

The Fibonacci drawn from November high (3340) towards the low (1884), shows that Bitcoin struggled to break (and failed) 0.786 resistance.

It found temp support at 0.618 but broke below and now it become resistance again.

0.5 is invisible.

Soon we will visit 0.382 (2415cny) and maybe even 0.236 (2200).

Below 2000 cny it is abyss.

Here is a Bitstamp weekly chart with all time Fibonacci levels and one of masterluc's favorite indicators the 200 week SMA

61.8% has indeed become resistance but price is well above the 200 week SMA indicating a bull market is still in progress. I would not call a bear market unless price breaks the 200 week SMA now at $290. My take anyways.

IMHO, this is the most significant TA service for every major crypto coin out there. Spot on TA predictions, fool-proof entry & exit points and money back guaranteed within the first week. Due to lack of time I don't post his predictions here but other subscribers can confirm my words.

Cheers Klee.

Just an update of my opinion: I just increased my bitcoin stash significantly. (Let's say All In Tongue)

I did it not because of any TA pattern or anything close, but because of fundamentals. I am planning to hold my coins now until they are tax-free. (>1 year)

With the halving coming, the recent panama paper leaks and the coming Greece+IMF closed-door default deal I can see a crazy storm brewing. Because of that I don't want to let the current triangle end without taking one side in the game. Wink #419

Edit: And it's good to give this excellent thread a push to the front page once in a while. 1337 replies. Cheesy

I am long too BTC (playing with alts with them).

The medium term chart maybe bearish now (above 2813 we are bullish again) but long term we are still bullish.

Add to this list openbazaar which will might bring some more dumping relief at exchanges.

sry for offtopic: the panama leaks are a joke. several hundred western "investigative journalists" needed an entire year to weed out all important members of western elites. which are the owners of the publishers of the "scandal". here in germany almost every headline starts with putin including a photographs of the russian leader who isn´t even mentioned in the leaked documents. no german elite members seem to be involved (not very probable) the father of british pm cameron is directly involved. nothing in the german media about this fact.
