[hype]

Quick back of an envelope calculation.

Roughly at block 89457

Block 89359 was 12 hours ago, according to cach explorer.

Roughly 196 blocks every 24hrs.

So time to reach block 100,000 will be 50-60 days.

Unless Vertoe changed the target block time, that should not continue - with the target block time of 15 minutes, the difficulty should adjust to give us ~96-100 blocks per day

Vertoe did not change the difficulty adjustment parameters.
However, the difficulty retarget system needs a major overhaul (IIRC, Singula rightfully hinted at that the other day). What happens these days, very shortly, is that block times slowly increase to the point where they are well over the coin specs, until a difficulty brake kicks in, and abruptly lowers the difficulty.

Some miners (such as myself), jump on and off at certain times to optimize returns.

There's a pattern very familiar for anyone that mined cache for long periods of time:
For the past 2 days or so, block times were miniscule.
Over the next week or so, block times will be way higher.

My wallet is showing I am at block 88,389 (and synced).

Looking above it seems I am stuck behind.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

@antonio8:
You're on a (bad) fork. A quick fix, is to delete your blockchain data, and run the old client (not the one with updates from Vertoe). You'll forcibly resync to the proper chain. Always do a wallet backup, etc, etc  Smiley

That makes sense.

Another check against block 88235 and 89487 which are 7 days apart, still gives a target time of between 55-65 days.

Yeah. And what Vertoe had put forward, was a new mining logic, however one would call it, it would produce new coins just as PoW does today.
Picking up an abandoned coin for peanuts on exchanges, then taking over to drastically and immediately cut the total supply, would be a rather obvious scam... (I don't think that is the intention here, but what do I know...  Roll Eyes)

Interesting to see the hardcore Vertoe-believers are losing ground, Cache started a new decline on cryptsy. When Vertoe only makes 1 positiv remark here, price will more than double again.

But her absence for so long is kind of strange. I don't know exactly how her behaviour was during the Darkcoin-period.
