Note: This project is inactive. I did not pocket any donations for myself. I donated a total of 0.01 to the fund, and there is less than 0.01 left in the fund.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

What is wrong with us tipping people directly?

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

The idea with this initiative is to let me handle that for you.
Instead of tipping let's say 0.005 to 10 different users, you can tip 0.05 to the SwingFirst Encouraging Fund and let me tip deserving users instead!

I don't know how popular this gets, but I'd love to give it a try and maybe earn some trust points on the way! Smiley

I appreciate your idea but the fact that you are just a newbie without any trust makes me feel that it is not gonna be successful. You can use an escrow here, all the funds will be deposited to escrow address and you can ask escrow to payout whenever someone needs funds. Good Enough?

The thing is, I can't receive any trust if you don't give me any coins to prove I can handle them. It is a nice idea though, I do appreciate the tip!  Smiley

Well, you don't need to get trust at the moment since Vod +'d you. Though once he sees this topic, I'm not sure that'll last.

Why you are running this kind of service if you dont have funds to start this? Asking coins to start tipping to another user looks like scam or just building trust

The positive feedback you have right now doesnt mean you are worth sending coins to

What if, although not realistic, someone wants to tip 1 BTC for funding, he will think twice or thrice before tipping it directly but would be way comfortable if an escrow is involved. Can you tell me what's the problem with an escrow?

I want you to first tip the tipjar to attract more members.

Why would I need funds to start something that is non-profit? What I am doing is not to scam, but to be friendly to this community.

I understand fully if you don't want to send anything to this fund, but for those who do, I am here!

Many escrows I have seen want 1 or 2% of each trade. I won't take even 0.00000001% of the tipped funds.

It also simplifies the process with me handling the tip jar. I can tip in three minutes whenever I encounter something tipworthy, I don't need to get hold of the escrow guy first.

Yeah it is really non profit but if you run the coins then surely you are on profit. Im saying can you start giving tips with your own coins so that you can be trustworthy

I am not even sure what you mean by that.
I would fund this project a bit if I had any btc of my own at this moment. It's partly why I am looking for design work.
