The Wizard of Oz:
Dorthy is no longer wearing the ruby slippers at the end.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown:
The Great Pumpkin no longer appears at the end.

the fact is that the human mind is a very strange place.  Emotion and state of mind can conflict with and alter memories.

If it makes you feel better to believe that's the case here...

In Jaws it use to be "we're going to need a bigger boat" now it's "you're going to need a bigger boat".

I think I always knew the Star Wars one. But the Jaws line is crazy.

Also, "Life is like a box of chocolates..." is not true. Life is now a past tense, "Life was like a box of chocolates"... hmmm...

It says "IS" on the back of all the DVD covers.

This is really bizarre, I swore Haggerty passed-away in the early 80s, not long after Grizzly Adams was cancelled.

I got proof too!

That's a good one, there. I grew-up watching the old Looney Toons in the early 70s and vividly remember it being "Toons" as in "cartoons".

Yesterday, I was taken aback when read that the first Star Trek movie came out in 1979. I would've shown it was until the very early 80's when it came out.

Upon reading https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Motion_Picture, now I'm totally confused. Here's to hopin' I never forget the time and place when I first learned to masturbate: Daytime; cornfield.

It's been a while since I've watched that but I'm also fairly sure that it was originally released in the 80's. I might watch it again and see what's changed.

I was married and living in Indiana in '79 and didn't go see movies. In the early 80's I lived in Kane county, IL, and that's went I remember seeing the ST movie. In fact, Star Trek movies were the only (mostly, extremely few others) movies I went to see in a theater upon first release, ending the practice with First Contact not yet seeing any subsequent releases with the exception of YouTube clips.
