There was a problem indeed which is now fixed. "git pull" and it should work fine. We have a configuration for QCN already. The real problem is to convince and coordinate all the existing pools and users to move to Forknote, since this will require a hardfork. perfect! QCN is an abandoned cryptonote note, it has no dev and needs improvement, its ideal for testing if forknote could take over the network, how much of the hashrate is necessary? thanks. COMMUNITY PROPOSAL FOR RESURRECTING QUAZARCOINIf anyone else is interested in resurrecting this coin please follow the instructions bellow and start solo-mining, with enough hashrate QCN will fork and will be on pair with Bytecoin latest code but with a much better emission curve, coin re-branding and exchange listing could follow.Hello, I added support for QuazarCoin in Forknote. It will give you a daemon and simplewallet with equivalent version of Bytecoin 1.0.5.1. To use it, download the Forknote binaries or compile them. More info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1079306.0Download the configuration file for QuazarCoin and save it in the 'configs' folder of Forknote: https://github.com/forknote/configs/blob/master/quazarcoin.confDaemon start: forknoted.exe --config-file configs\quazarcoin.conf ./forknoted --config-file configs/quazarcoin.conf Simplewallet start: simplewallet.exe --config-file configs\quazarcoin.conf ./simplewallet --config-file configs/quazarcoin.conf How to transfer your old wallet? Copy your .keys file to the Forknote folder. Open it with simplewallet. If anyone with a pool want to get behind the idea we can all mine together until the fork happens.

I commend your project and what you are trying to do hear but is it really a good idea to teach the masses on how to make shitcoins? The last thing we need is the market flooded with no innovation shitcoins that do nothing but waste miners hashes and electricity.. Seems the altcoin announcement forum section is chalked full of absolute innovation lacking garbage.. We need actual coders making coins not just fucking script kiddies copy and pasting after changing a few variables in a build file.

Hello, Forknote version 1.0.10 was released: https://github.com/forknote/forknote/releases/tag/1.0.10Since Bytecoin hardforks at this version, because of the new block size, all existing Forknote blockchains (Dashcoin, Magnatoj, Ethanolium, ...) will hardfork as well. We urge everyone to update since old wallets won't be able to support new block sizes. Changes: * Core changed to Bytecoin 1.0.10 ( more info) * --config-file option of forknoted and simplewallet is now mandatory Configuration variables changes: * UPGRADE_HEIGHT changed to UPGRADE_HEIGHT_V2 * CRYPTONOTE_BLOCK_GRANTED_FULL_REWARD_ZONE changed to CRYPTONOTE_BLOCK_GRANTED_FULL_REWARD_ZONE_V2 * New CRYPTONOTE_BLOCK_GRANTED_FULL_REWARD_ZONE added

Is this good idea to let every one create his coin Isn't this what Waves and other multimillion projects all about? The positive thing about this project is your token does not require any parent blockchain. The downside is, without parent blockchain, it is extremely hard to fund it. Some may say there is a security issue with making separate blockchain for every token, but our initial goal is not multimillion valued tokens, but small tokens for now, which makes no economic sense to be attacked

in forknote open sourse equal xcp counterparty or not your are develop forknote or not how much fee coin is afliate forknote every send ? Forknote is not equal XCP. The idea is create (and link in future) independent blockchains. There are no fees. You can create as much blockchains as you want. There is no parent blockchain. The only chain with special status is Bytecoin, because it is the developer blockchain, but we work hard to make Forknote dual core (more than 1 developer chain)

If you just want to create a token, you don't need to learn any programming language. Just choose the parameters you want, decide if you want premine, and you are good to go. On your other question - you must take care of your blockchain. A 5$ VPS usually does the work. In fact, nodes of multiple blockchains can be ran on a 5$ VPS, which can drive the price of a running node way bellow 5$/month. Also, you can run a node on your local PC, if you don't need the network to be online all the time

can I use forknote with fantomcoin? Are there plans to bring it to the new BCN 2.0 code base (RocksDB), its a shame they didn't went with Monero LMDB buts its better than the previous version.
We are working on Forknote based on BCN 2.0. Currently it works good, except the block explorer part. Fantomcoin support is one of our potential goals, but there is no schedule for it. We may realise it, but we may not. If you or someone else understand how Fantomcoin works you can help us bring it faster to the project. iam newbie about dev coin so iam to ask how to replace node to vps and how create is node code
All I can advice you is learn how to run a node of any Cryptonote coin. There is plenty of info on the net. The process is pretty much the same, with the exception you need to point out a configuration file when you run your Forknote node

Hello, The beta of the Forknote v2.0.0 is out. It's just in source form. We are not sure is it producing 100% correct block, but you guys can contribute by testing and reporting bugs: https://github.com/forknote/forknoteWe can provide binaries if some of you are unable to compile. Since time is very limited resource, we want to ask the community for opinion what our next priority should be: * GUI * Tracking wallets by view key * Bitsquare integration * Merge mining support * Other (tell us what) We will highly appreciate your feedback

Hi everyone!
I know I'm a newbie here, but I did just generate a ForkNote currency, and below are the config file contents, and I am wanting other people to give it a try.
