$3000+ by 2018!? Hmm... I cant help but feel that being a bit fantastical. I would predict $1,300-$1,500 range if things go well. If something goes wrong, the price could go anywhere between $100 and $600. What information do I base that on? Just guessing...

So, I thought it might be fun if people shared their predictions of how they think the price will move over the next three years in a graphical format. You can take the image below and open it in paint or whatever and add your squiggly line to the end of it.

You can add your thoughts along with your image as well if you like, but it's not mandatory. I think it might be interesting to see what kind of action people are expecting to see if there is any trend in expectations.http://imgur.com/1f1sD5F

Here is my prediction, but I don't have much in the way of technical analysis. I am just a newbie and this is my instinct's best guess.
http://imgur.com/GZeZhjM

EDIT: Well that's no good. I guess newbies can't post images. I've left the links there, maybe someone could repost the images so that they can be displayed in the post below. *tuts

Went off the chart there...  Good job.  Keep it up.

How far you are sure about the above chart and what backs it ?

When or if bitcoin becomes world currency, I suppose.... there wont be any more boom and busts. People will then turn their grievances to the early adopters while they work 40 hours a week at tesco for 0.00025 bitcoins a month. I love the people that work at tesco. Where would we be without them?

I'm dreaming aren't I? The Queen will announce a 'Royal Coin' before the end of her reign and make it mandatory for all businesses to trade in that and everyone will go, "oh! ok then."

I think it is purely speculation. Looks predictable though doesn't it?

Well, yes, it's.

But I feel Elwar is not trolling and way too serious.

I just want to understand more about his speculation.

No TA on my part other than looking at those first 2 charts of the last large jumps and drawing what it would look like if it happened again.

However if you go by my chart it will be another 2 years or so before we jump again. So be prepared for a long stretch of low prices.

It seems you are sure/semi-sure about it, in other words, confident, right ?

For me, I'm holding for 5-10 years.

sincerely it is just one of those random scenario that could happen, because you know...bitcoin must go up

don't know why he choose 6700, maybe 6 and 7 are his preferred numbers or something, but every high price is a good price, the next spike should at least surpass the 1200, we should be pretty confident about this

I think this trend of people expecting others to make them rich has to end, and that's what will happen, you won't get rich by holding Bitcoin you will get ripped off, when that happens (and the day will come when even you will be shaken out) we will resume going up again, when all hope it's lost. Until then, work on your equity, do not care too much about your btc amount.

Hi brother,

I'm so happy to see you so optmistic and Bullish as me.

You said that bitcoin must go up, why it's a "must" ?

Why shall we be "confident" about bitcoin surpassing the $1,200 mark ?

Thanks.

that "must go up" was a way of meaning that usually everyone predict a high price of bitcoin, because it is expected by everyone that it iwll go up, and not because there are ironclad reasons

generally talking, the next spike(the next big bubble, call it what you want) always surpass the previous one, therefore, that's why we always talk about an average increase per day of bitcoin, and until now it is working in this way, which mean we are in uptrend
