There are some browser based games now that are even better than faucets because it's easier to keep track of.  Plus it's a game so it's sort of fun and cool.

i tried those, but their payout is even lower than a standard faucets, they are more fun yes, but still too much low of a reward to be worth trying, and in most cases they are shallow games...

Yes indeed, those websites attract alot of users, and they stay active for a long time, however, most of the faucet users, just want a quick
write & pay option. Many people are eager to get paid, and they dont like to keep 1000x usernames and passwords around for varous websites.
An easy faucet is just your bitcoin address + catpcha = instant payout, i think most faucet users prefer instant payout types.

However , if we could combine the 2 that would be awesome.

Ah how about a game like "typeshark" you can earn btc when you type a correct word(maybe amount of earning per 1 word is low) that's just my opinion.
But looks like your plan is build a ordinary faucet which make a faucet users feel comfortable.

I dont think the main problem nowadays is with faucets, but with the ad networks, you got only 2 of them a-ads and bitmedia, and a few minor ones. You will need 10 different ad networks because each one usually allows 2 banners /site, or perhaps make your own ad network.

If somebody could design a flash game, as a faucet, with ads popping out all over the place, but not lagging, and enjoyable, then it would be much more fun and you could pay out more, because you could show other types of ads (sound,banners, hidden ads, etc) inside the game.

Also let's not forget about ADBLOCK, many guys use it, so faucet owners dont earn nearly as much as you would think they do

now that you mentioned it, i remember there was a browser based game, i don't remember the name, but it was something like miner or coin mine. there was this little dude who dug the ground and mined different ores that was worth small amounts of satoshi. although the payment was so low, the game was fun.

There was actually a PTC website, not bitcoin based, but it was like you had a character and also moved on a square, and you had to dig squares, and every time you dig an AD appeared for 15 seconds, and you could claim .30 $ with it. So based on this principle we can also make this for bitcoin.

Just make a square based game and award people with 1000-10000 satoshi by watching mini ad banners for 15 seconds, for each tile.

can you provide a proof of your earning? i don't want try my hand and waste my time, on something that it in the will not pay well, no matter what

there is 2048.com, with a good price if you reach 16384, it may look difficult at first glance, but there are plenty of video that show you how to do it, why no one is trying that? maybe they are not paying?

I dont know about that but yea definitely, i support innovation, and many faucets really need some innovation, atleast in the design of it.

As long as it's fun & has jackpot or small chance to got big earning, i think that could make any faucet become popular

Yes i fully agree, the excitement factor has to be in any game that you want to make interesting.If a faucet pays out 500 satoshi with 100% chance constantly, that becomes very boring after, but if it pays out 5.000.000 with a 0.01% chance (its the same) then it becomes a lot of interesting.

Sure only 1 guy out of 10.000 will win the jackpot, but still it can be just as you too.And that adds a mistery and excitement to the game

seems that some high paying faucets only pay high to USA. Reason is adsense pays more to USA and Canada.

IMHO, faucets were interesting two years ago, but now we have better ways of earning bitcoins.
But they could be interesting for newbies, because it's easy to earn the first uBTCs.

the most popular one is still around, and thats them without a better design or anything since they always paid out.

faucets like freebitco.in will never die out since it grown its reputation. also as a owner, id figure out how to protect on not crediting the bots filling the captchas.

But they could be interesting for newbies, because it's easy to earn the first uBTCs.

I think faucets can be a main source of income if you gather alot of referrals.

With about 1000 referrals /each faucet, you can make a partial or even a full time income, depending on where you live, so dont throw out faucets just yet.

Of course it will need alot of work and promotion, but it is autopilot, better than sitting 20 hours a day writing for sig campaign
