Don't bother with new PCI-e connectors, if you are going to run them at full speed (475Mhz) just solder the wires directly to the PCB. The new PCI-e connector will burn again eventually because one connector for ~340Watt (~380Watt at the wall Platinum PSU 92% efficiency) is not only insane but retarded and dangerous, Thx KNC. The "loose" PCI-e connectors will accumulate resistance over time, because of the heating and tarnishing, that will make them even hotter and more resistance will accumulate.....ect. ect. Until they catch fire, and if you are unlucky your PSU will too. Best solution minimize the number of loose connectors in you setup, terminal PSU connectors are optimal. I found that if running over 425Hhz, one needs to do this MOD. It's just easier to sleep at night knowing that you will not catch fire in the middle of the night
