I don't understand the transaction rejected. What happens to the btc?
It stays in the wallet. If the transaction is not broadcasted, the Bitcoins will be unspent and you can still spend them later.
It was broadcast. My Bitcoin-QT is down now and is scheduled to open a little later but it said something like no confirmations.
The transaction still doesn't show on blockchain.info although the site appears to be functioning normally.

That's over $56 in freshly mined btc missing.
See the payout was .25257809btc and I meant to sent .25207809btc with .0005btc min fee (maintaining a blockchain here) but mistakenly sent .25207805btc + .0005 transaction fee. But the transaction is being ignored.
